"Just had my son's 7th bday party here and I cant speak highly enough about Phoenix Gymnastics! The owner is so wonderful to work with and his staff are amazing! So polite and great with all the kids. Not to mention very fair pricing to have a bday party here! All of the kids had an absolute blast and my son was so happy! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a kids bday party!!!"

"Love this place, the staff are very friendly and my daughter loves coming here. Besides classes, the amazing thing they have is open gym on Sunday mornings for ages 6 month to 5 years where you get access to the whole floor and kids get to run around and get their energy out. Great option when all the kid activities are always closed for private parties."

"My party just went from great to horrible in a matter of seconds. We booked this party anticipating over 30 kids for a joint birthday for my 2 girls. We booked 5:45-7:45 (extended party) from the jump to ensure each kid would have a good amount of time to play and spend time with a hired character through another company. I made the owner aware we booked a character for 6:45-7:45 as well, so booking the party from 5:45-7:15 makes 0 sense as the characters cost almost as much as the party itself. Well, during cake we suddenly got notice that we had to be out in 5 minutes. This was at 7:10. I approached the owner to remind him that we were booked until 7:45, but apparently that’s not what HE had written down. I was blamed for the “misunderstanding” and something confused “in my head” as he showed me on his calendar that he had 7:15 written down. He was defensive and nasty from the second I approached him about it and his response was that he’s “been doing this for 30 years and has NEVER made a mistake”. Well- he did today. I will say his staff was great and the kids enjoyed themselves, but he lost us and anyone we know for good. There were several ways this could have been resolved, but to not even allow us 5 minutes to take pictures with the character we paid to come is just appalling and rude and inconsiderate. I strongly suggest if you are going to book an event here, that you get your details in writing. I sadly, didn’t- but was not expecting an issue as i had multiple conversations with the owner prior to today, as recently as 2 days ago to review details. The only thing he offered (after being nasty) was to charge us for the extra time (which we anticipated paying for anyway), but by then I was already disgusted and just wanted to go. The kids had already had cake and our character was sadly already forced to do her act at warped speed to finish my on time so there was no point. If you would’ve told me an hour ago I’d be giving this party a bad review, i would’ve never believed you- but the owner was a Disgrace and handled this about as poorly as possible. Money was not an issue here whatsoever, but I don’t believe in doing business with anyone who would speak to someone the way i was spoken to today. ETA: we have been home less than 20 minutes and have received phone calls and texts from multiple guests regarding their complete disgust for the owner and how he spoke to us. It’s a shame as all of these parents are locals with similar aged kids to mine. I can’t explain how upset i am over how this party ended. I booked it several weeks ago and was so excited to see the kids hang out and also spend time with Mirabel from Encanto…it was destroyed."

"I have 2 girls who have been attending classes at Phoenix Gymnastics for the past few years. They look forward to it every week. Although my 10 year old is not very good, the coaches are patient and encouraging. My 3 year old loves it so much that she pretends every line she walks on is a balance beam and that my bed is a trampoline. I have found Jolie to be patient and accommodating. I have had birthday parties for both girls at Phoenix and now their friends are booking parties because they had such a great time. I would definitely recommend Phoenix Gymnastics."

"Stay away at all costs! The owner (and his wife) are completely unprepared to deal with children and their parents in any mature, rational, professional level/capacity. They are terrible business people, terrible with customer service, and just bad examples of people in general. Mind you, I have 3 children and all of them had attended Phoenix at one point or another -- we've always had lovely, young female coaches, and it was smooth sailing with the exception of the fact that the owner's wife, Jolie, pounces on you for money the very day it's due, the very second you walk in, regardless of the situation. (once she followed me into the bathroom as I was carrying my daughter who had just had an accident in her pants because she fell asleep on her way over to class) -- she certainly knows how to make you feel like all you are to them is money in the bank. My youngest son (just turned 6) has been coached by the owner since the start of this school year only -- I had heard unfavorable rumblings about him, but had never dealt with him on a personal level until now. Yesterday, my son wore pull on "jeans" (no buttons, no zippers - Charlie Rocket brand) and the man comes out into the lobby full of waiting parents and siblings, pushing my 6 year old from behind. He had what could only be described as rage in his eyes as he berated BOTH of us in front of the room screaming about how my son is wearing jeans -- apparently an unwritten no-no. I tried to calm the situation down by saying "Ok, not a problem, he'll sit this class out" -- I think he took that as being disrespectful (I believe he expected me to leave immediately, not realizing my 3 year old daughter was still in the room) and then proceeded to berate and degrade my 6 year old and myself -- spewing at us that "he don't listen. He jump in the foam fit when it not his turn." Agreed, that is dangerous, and had he come out to tell me that in any other way, I certainly would have handled appropriately, but seeing as this was my son's only known offense, I was never given the opportunity. This man was on a hate-filled, crazed rant and embarrassed himself and his entire business in the process. All to yell at a small child. His clear intention was to make either one or both of us cry; my son proceeded to collapse into tears and cry in hysterics; I turned red and shaky in embarrassment and shock -- I should mention, I'm also 9 months pregnant. I had a friend who shuffled my son away to a different area with the promise of some gum -- if only I hadn't been as blindsided, I would have protected my child better from the evil inside this man. We left pretty promptly, once I was able to get to my daughter and usher us all out, only to be bombarded by text messages from friends who were still in the lobby, informing me that Jolie was bad-mouthing me (falling on deaf ears) and saying how "it's funny that she didn't care about the safety aspect." I'm known as an over-disciplinarian, and these people were all first hand witnesses to what transpired -- she made herself look ridiculous and silly; they must think everyone is stupid. The scariest thing is that there was no buildup to this situation. No prior altercations, no "hey, can you talk to your son about . . ." -- he's the sweetest boy who has come out every week since the first week with a sticker and a smile on his face saying what a good time he had at gymnastics. I posted what happened on a local board, and was absolutely shocked to learn that there were at least 15 other similar stories -- being screamed at, even manhandled by this man/monster. This was the most shockingly terrifying display of instability by a coach who deals with children ever. I would constantly live in fear that the other shoe could drop at any time. If you do decide to send your children there, god bless, but proceed with caution."
