Metropolitan Dermatology - West New York

"…this place is a joke… I came in because I was recommended by urgent care to see a dermatologist due to my skin rash, ears infection behind my ear, and being extremely itchy. I came in with photos, videos, and everything keeping track my progress. The doctor could not tell me any theories, or what she think it is… all I got was a “I don’t know “ and took a sample behind my ear to wait for two weeks for my results, since then, my symptoms are getting worse. I call for my results and told ..the doctor will call me and go over my results with me… I wait and nobody calls me back… I call back and try to explain the issue to Maritsa who would no let me get one word in and constantly interrupted me. I asked her for her manager and was told they didn’t have one at the office , that she needed to be found, when I asked for a email, that she doesn’t have one? Who doesn’t have a email? But ok… was transferred to a random department resulting me to call back and explain the entire issue again. Maritsa was unprofessional and did not want to do her job. As I write this I’m on the phone given the run around with nobody wanting to connect me with Angela. Angela in the end never wanted to speak to me, or called me, to address my concerns. I was called back by the receptionist to give me my results. Why did it take all this? I don’t know. Clearly the staff don’t care and neither does Angela cause she couldn’t be bothered. Stay clear away from this place."

"My mother and step-father had a bad experience here. My relative visited this place due to a rash on part of the face, and by visual check, the PHYSICIAN ASSITANT, FRANCELLI, stated "this is a possible cancer, we would need to do a biopsy". How could you tell someone something like that without even having the results of a biopsy? That is very dangerous for a patient with heart problems!!! Very unprofessional, and do not recommend this place."

"We had a bad experience with this place. You always have to wait a long time up to 1 1/2 hours to be served and my wife arrived 12 minutes after the appointment time and they did not want to serve her.And there was no patient waiting at the waiting room."

"I went to the West New York Office, a small office but very clean, well maintained and orderly. The dermatolgist, Dr. Casey, who attended to my needs, was very attentive and well informed about my particular issue. She took her time explaining every detail to help me understand what was going on and a systematic plan was put together to address it. I left the office feeling secure. By the way, public parking is a little tricky but there's a lot right across the street and the parking rates are pretty cheap. I paid $1.50 for 2 hours but I was in-and-out of the office by 30 minutes!"
