"I was in a wedding last year that one of the bridesmaids suggested we get our makeup professionally done. Unfortunately the bride has gotten a rather large cold sore on her lip before the big day so when we were told that they could use air brush makeup application to make her look flawless despite the cold sore we were thrilled to be going. But we’re very disappointed when we arrived. We were told that since it was just the bride that wanted the more expensive airbrush makeup while the rest of us just wanted hand applied makeup, that is was not worth it to them to dirty the machine for one person. But they assured us that the makeup they use for hand application was great quality and you won’t be able to tell the difference between that and airbrushing. When it was my turn for makeup I was asked a couple starter questions about the level of coverage I wanted for the day and then she began to pull out makeup colors to match my face. I was shocked to see that the great quality makeup we were told about was Wet and Wild brand from the dollar store! We all left with half smiles and no the cold sore was not unnoticeable when they were done like promised. I was not happy paying $25 for a face full of dollar store junk. I will not be going back again."

"Jenna, the owner is truly talented in all that she does. From make-up to facials and waxing and everything in between - it’s all been top-tier. Living in the greater Philadelphia area, I’ve come accustomed to services, such as lash extensions, that I imagine are hard to come by in smaller towns. Simply Skin Spa offers so many boutiquie services that it really is a gem in the quant village of Fredonia. I regularly visit the spa when we come to see family. I have always found Jennasha to be reliable. She did my makeup for my wedding and I have full faith in her. It’s unfortunate that the previous comment focused on what seems to be a misunderstanding. In terms of talent and professionalism my experience has always been positive."

"I attended my mothers wedding last month. I had convinced her to have her makeup professionally done and she called up Simply Skin because of a word of mouth referral. While they may or may not know how to do make up- I wouldn't know because despite our phone calls in the days prior to the wedding to get an arrival time- they were a no show/no call. No show. No call. ... for A WEDDING. Maybe they were busy, maybe they took another client. Whatever the case- not even a phone call. Luckily my mother, being gracious as she is, didn't even call them out on it. But it should be known that this business took the care and consideration to not reply or show up for a very special day for someone. I made a few phone calls and we had her makeup done beautifully at Facial Expressions, a block away, who took us in short notice and made special accommodations to do so. We were lucky and very grateful. I did make a courtesy call and left a message at Simply Skin to give them one chance to redeem themselves. I said, we hadn't heard from you so we had to do our make up elsewhere, if you were planning to show up, there is no need. No return call. No apology. I am a wedding planner in a different state. I have just never seen anything like this before. I don't know how a bride in good conscious could put their day in careless hands. I wish more than that for my brides and certainly more for my mom."
