Olmstead Center

The Olmstead Center, now known as VIA: Pathways for the Visually Impaired, is a nonprofit institution located at 30 Alpine Place in Cheektowaga, New York. Dedicated to assisting individuals experiencing vision loss, VIA offers a range of services including tools, education, rehabilitation, job training, job placement, and support for people of all ages. With a rich history dating back to the Buffalo Association of the Blind in 1907, VIA is committed to helping individuals achieve their highest level of independence despite their visual impairment. The institution understands the challenges that come with a diagnosis of visual loss, but believes that it does not define a person or their abilities. VIA's team of vision professionals works to customize services to help individuals manage their vision loss and adapt to new ways of independence.
