"If i could give ZERO stars i would. I have told myself time and time again to stop coming to this ER but on a Saturday night if I have an issue I need to be checked for I will be seen quickly.....but the care is going to be crappy. I came in at about 9:45pm for abdominal & back pain...a possible kidney stone or UTI. The nurses were phenomenal as usual. But both the MD & PA *who I have seen before on other occasions* could use some type of retraining. The doctors beside manner is horrible, he talks down to u, belittles you and will be dismissive. I was explaining to him what my symptoms were & how much pain I was in and based on the look on his face you can tell he thought I was lying. In fact, he ordered labs, a CT and some medication for nausea and wouldn't not order anything for pain. I explained to the nurse that my pain was a 8/10 & her response was, the doctor said he wants to wait for your CT results to come back before he decides IF he will order anything for pain. Now I myself have worked in an ER and that is not how patients are supposed to be treated, you address all their symptoms accordingly with correct medications. This particular MD & his PA are very known among the African American community for not ordering pain medications when A.A people are in severe pain just because they don't "think" the patient is in "that much pain" when clearly pain is a subjective matter. I didn't receive anything for pain until 1:04am when the nurse came in with my discharge instructions!! At that point I was told "I was good to go". I asked if the doctor going to come back in & review all my results with me and I was told no and to follow up with my PCP. I had to look up my results on the patient portal & there were some concerning things found on my CT scan. As a Healthcare worker myself this kind of treatment I received hurt my heart because if this is how I am being treated that means others could be treated worse. Tonights visit was my last straw, I will not be returning to a Catholic Health facility to be seen. I refuse to get that kind of treatment from any provider. I do have about 4 doctors I see within CHS but this one bad MD has ruined it for the rest of them. I will also let my friends and family know to steer clear of St Joe's as well!"

"would not come here again. service was quick but some nurses were rude besides the doctor was saw me for 2 minutes. not attentive to care and felt like i was rushed out."

"Coming to st Joseph’s I thought it would be quick and easy .It’s a Friday night and I’ve been here since 11pm and I’m still here it’s almost 3 am .I’m pregnant and in horrible tooth ache pain .I didn’t receive any updates I wasn’t taken care of the way that I thought I should be since babies get chosen over the mothers because of the Catholic system of Catholic health . There was no one at the desk for me to get updates about the wait time .Security was answering my questions when he should have been guarding something .if you guys are gonna make people spend the night at least offer a blanket pillow and snack especially to those that are pregnant horrible horrible horrible ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️"
