"Unless your item has little value, go elsewhere. Maybe Tony can replace standard heels. But anything we’ve taken in for repair has been expensive and shoddy work. He’s not that good for price paid and an unsatisfactory result. Find someone else."

"I brought in a sheepskin slipper with a seam that had come out. It was repaired neatly and quickly (under a week). It cost $35, which seemed like a lot, but was probably fair."

"0 stars is not an option, but if it was that would be my rating. Brought in a bag to have a new strap put on - I understand there may be supply chain issues, but it took 2 months to get my bag back. When I did, the stitching was crooked on the addition, there was a diagonal cut of the old leather, and the ring on the strap was from the original bag, which now did not match the color of the dyed new strap. In addition, I was told at least 4 different occasions that they were waiting for first the leather, then the rivets. Several times I was told that it had come in, only to hear another day that they were still waiting for it. One time, after checking with the owner, I was told that it would be done with the repair that afternoon. It was done a week later. I really believe that the person working the desk was making it up as she went along, and she gave me conflicting information several times. Side note: I noticed many times that she would make a rude face after another customer would leave, after finding out their item wasn't done. Very unprofessional. I don't know what is happening there, but I paid $80 for a strap that looks like something I could have done myself. Strongly not do recommend."

"I am really disappointed to have to write this review, as we have been customers of Tony's for a long time. But the "customer service" we received today was inexcusable. We dropped off two pairs of shoes for simple heels and soles, a MONTH ago. Normally Tony turns things around in a week, so when they STILL weren't done when we went back today to pick them up - after we had called a week ago and told them we must have them today because we are going out of town tomorrow - I inquired why it took so long. Instead of apologising for the inconvenience of the most uncharacteristic wait, instead of understanding my upset, the woman simply said, "are you going to let me talk?" Naturally this did nothing to calm or assure me that my business was valuable to them. She then went to justify that she didn't take the call so didn't know we wanted them today (don't they keep records?) because they were actually due tomorrow, but happily was able to do them as we waited because I guess suddenly the materials were in fact ready today and they could complete them in 15 minutes. (!) I appreciate Tony does good work, and we have been loyal customers of his, but when he himself came out from the back also justifying and explaining why things were taking longer than usual, instead of apologising to us for the delay, that prompted me to write this review. I understand there are material delivery delays, but when loyal customers inquire why things are taking a ridiculously long time because no such information was forthcoming after a month (and when we insisted we would wait for the shoes suddenly they could be done in 15 minutes), this is no way to treat them."

"I have a pair of Ecco dress boots that I love, but had worn down the soles pretty good, and they were starting to get cracks in them. So I took them into Tony's and he said he could put some vibram soles on for $70. Which seems very reasonable considering the quality of the new soles. He did it fast, he had then ready in a couple of days. He did a fantastic job! He polished the shoe really well as well. It looked better than when I bought it I think! He's a really friendly and honest kind of guy. You can tell he's good at what he does, and he really seems to enjoy doing this work. I'd feel confident leaving him with any and all of my shoes. And definitely recommend this place to all my friends. And there's a cute little dog in the shop!"
