"Updated review - a year later on 10/5/2023. Taking off a few stars from the initial review. The haircut is good. I like it. But I only got a haircut which took over two hours of my time!!! Appointment was for 6pm. Arrived at 5:45. When I left after the haircut was done it was 7:54! Two hours is unacceptable!! It wasn’t even relaxing. They sold me on a deep conditioning treatment. I assumed it came with some kind of head massage or scalp massage when they apply the product, which was the main reason I got this service. But no. It sucked. The whole shampoo and conditioning experience sucked, which has always been the best part of me getting a haircut. Then after the wash I had to wait for a full 45 min until they were done with another customer. Also somehow the cape wasn’t tight around my neck and hair got in all the down in my back. It was super itchy driving back home! This experience nearly ruined my whole night."

"I usually liked how my hair turned out after going to Salon Bohemia. But the staff there are insufferable. Whenever I would mention to the person doing my hair that they were pulling my hair a bit too hard or that the bleach on my head was burning, I was told (at least three separate times I went for an appointment) that it was my fault and that I was probably ovulating. This was really inappropriate and made me feel weird. One time, my regular stylist was out sick so I had a different person do my hair. Apparently, they did not know how to correctly mix bleach. My scalp burned so severely that I started sobbing in the middle of the appointment, and for days afterwards I found large flakes of skin coming off my head from where the bleach had burned me. I felt like I was intruding on a clique who didn’t want me there."

"I went to Salon Bohemia for my wedding hair and make-up. From the start Wendy was very responsive and helpful. I don't have much experience styling my hair or doing my own make-up, but during my hair and make-up trials Wendy and Jaheem worked with me to figure out exactly what look I wanted for my wedding day. On my wedding day I felt beautiful and like myself, and my hair & make-up lasted all night! Not only did Wendy and Jaheem do my wedding hair and make-up, but their team also did the hair & make-up for my mother and all 7 of my bridesmaids. They welcomed us into their salon, played music, and made what could be a very stressful morning into one that was fun and relaxing. And all of the girls loved their looks!"
