"This company ended up being extremely and completely unprofessional. You pay your insurance company faithfully. Never miss a payment. Always on time. And when you REALLY need to use your insurance they stab you in the back and say oh we are not going to cover that. There was prior damage. Your LAZY, INCOMPETENT ROOF INSPECTORS ARE JUST AS UNPROFESSIONAL AS THE COMPANY THEY REPRESENT. ATTENTION EVERYONE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. ALL THEY DO IS TAKE YOUR MONEY. THE ROOF INSPECTOR NEVER GOT HIS LAZY BUTT ON THE ROOF. JUST TOOK PICTURES OF THE CEILING IN THE HOUSE. AND WE ASKED HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE ROOF WHEN YOUR LAZY INSPECTOR NEVER GOT ON THE ROOF? Our roofing company we hired to put our new roof on asked for the photos they have. They REFUSED TO SHARE THE PHOTOS WITH IS OR THE ROOFING COMPANY. ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED AND RIPPED OFF SHOULD YOU USE THIS COMPANY!!!!"

"I have been a customer with Lemonade Insurance for several years (I am in CT), and the last year has been a train-wreck. I was very happy with them up until this last year, and I will detail the reasons why. 1. Extremely long claim times: the first time I had to submit a claim for pet insurance for emergency was this past year, and it took them months to process the claim. I had to put forward $5000 for my dog and wait months for the 80% reimbursement, which caused countless complications for my personal life. 2. Inconsistent customer service: At first, I used to get responses to questions and inquiries fairly quickly, now I either hear back weeks later, or in some cases not at all. For example, when asking for a quotation for if I installed a wood-burning stove, I was told I would hear back after answering many questions, and then was never gotten back to. 3. Dropped me but wouldn’t give me a reason: the reason I am now moving away from Lemonade insurance was first with my pet insurance due to the cost, but now because they sent me an inquiry telling me I had 9 late payments on file for my house insurance, which is not true. When I followed up to this and informed them this was not correct, and asked if the renewal was still not being offered, and if so why, they responded first with a very indirect message that did not answer my question, and then finally just told me they would not offer me renewal with no explanation given. Absolutely absurd. Take your money and time elsewhere, they are clearly not in a good place and will drag you down with them."

"The amount of hoops you have to go through is exhausting. I had homeowners and 4 vehicles insured. They wound up cancelling my HO policy due to the age of the water heater. Of course they said they sent an email which I never received. The least they could’ve done was send me a letter. I found out after the fact. Despite the issues, I remained patient, and we replaced our working “old” water heater at a $2600 expense and sent pictures and documents. Still no recourse to get my old HO renewed—furthermore, they couldn’t even provide a new quote for a new policy. Came so close to recommending to friends and family—right up until the problem. Ended up cancelling auto policy, deleting the app and switching provider."

"Lemonade is convenient, but the service aspects have felt disappointing. We enjoy the app in many ways, but do not enjoy surprises - for example, post our recent claim, we were deciding on options for increasing our coverage. I made some changes to the policy and saved it to see what the price differences would be; later we removed the changes we did not want, but left other changes. Only to realize Lemonade had increased our premium because we experimented with policy changes. INSANE! the app allows you to "play" so to speak with these changes. There were no warnings about how this might affect my premium and now it is higher simply because I was exploring different coverage options after realizing we needed more coverage. We have enjoyed lemonade for the ease of use ... until we had to use it beyond the app. It's been very disappointing and we are currently planning to end our coverage!"

"Deceptive practices! They told me to send in my sofa for cleaning (there was water damage in my building) and that they would handle the expense. I have the email receipts. After I had the sofa cleaned per their request, they completely absolved themselves of responsibility for the cleaning and LIED about the contents of former emails exchanged. You can’t lie when there is a paper trail. I highly do not recommend dealing with Titus D. He was pleasant at first, but deceptive over time."
