"Exactly two years ago I stumbled upon the Oyster Bamboo flyrod shop. I had no interest in owning a bamboo flyrod at the time nor did I have any desire to build one in the classes that they were advertising. "I have been through Bill's rod building class, and it was a wonderful experience. I had no previous knowledge of rod building, and they took us through the entire process, making sure that we were producing a rods that we could be proud to own and fish. The rod that i made is now my favorite trout rod! They are currently making a 9 wt. salt water rod for me which I will use for permit, bones and reds.
