The Hops Spot

"The Hops Spot is a hidden gem if you've never been there before. Right in the heart of downtown Syracuse, this restaurant/bar has a lot to offer. From the menu to activities this place pretty much has it all. It has a big bar surrounded by booths when you walk in. You can sit at the bar or grab a booth for a more intimate experience. Just past that are tables and a few more booths, leading to a back room where the real fun begins. There is another bar back there and a bit more seating. This is where you can play old-school video games on a Sega Genesis, you can play various board and stategy games, there is a Bocci ball court, they set up two cornhole boards, and there's also a dart board. So there's definitely plenty to do. And of course music to get your feet tapping. One thing that stood out is the Hops Spot is kid freindly. Complete with a children's lounge area. Overall the Hops Spot was a fun experience. The food came out pretty quickly and it was pretty tasty. I had the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Poutine which was rather good. The menu selection added to my good time. So if you're in downtown Syracuse and would like a great dining experience I highly suggest "The Hops Spot"."

"4 stars is the most I could give. The food was good, but not exceptional. The poutine lacked a bit of flavor. The atmosphere was as expected for a tap room. Overall, it was good, but I probably won't be back."

"The Hops Spot provided us with a perfect meal! It's a nice space with a bar front and center and plenty of seating all around the bar and the entire restaurant. Our server was kind and attentive, with service being quick and easy. I ordered the Black Cherry Cider and it was wonderful. They have a wide variety of alcohol to choose from so you'll easily find something to your liking. Our food really was perfection, the Health Nut Salad with Chicken was fresh and flavorful. The Tex Mex Burger was a perfect medium rare with a combination of flavors and toppings that pleased my palate aplenty. The fries were well seasoned and there was no evidence left of any food ever being on our plates. We can't wait to go back and try so much more as the menu has so much to offer. I also noticed they offer a vegan menu and offer substitutions as well for anyone not looking to eat meat. Always love to see that availability and adaptability. Highly recommend. Enjoy!!"

"Stopped by for dining week and had a great lunch. The food was excellent and fairly priced. We both ordered appetizers and a meal and each of our plates were delicious. It arrived quickly and the service staff were friendly, attentive, and personable."
