"Arrived at Medo really excited to try this place with its food and atmosphere having good reviews. My boyfriend and I had a reservation and when we arrived at the time of our reservation our table had been given to someone else. We had to wait 10 minutes for them to figure out where to sit us. When we were seated we ordered our drinks and appetizers. Drinks and apps were good but nothing crazy. The pork gyoza was the only thing that made the meal a meal. The fried chicken was okay but such small portions. Then came our order. I ordered Philly rolls and crunchy shrimp rolls without avocado due to allergies. My Philly roles came out with avocado and to make things worse my sushi was so mushy and room temperature and just too unbearable to eat. Extremely disappointed in this place and staff really paid no mind to our disappointment even after showing how we barely ate and how we weren't happy. Would not recommend."

"Honestly some of the best sushi I've had in New York State. The mood is relaxed but sexy. The signature cocktails are thoughtful and delicious. And the hot kitchen food is great. Also includes non-fish dishes for those who don't eat fish. Highly recommend the black miso cod and the sweetheart roll. Not to mention the desserts. But the real thing that stands out is the artistry and care that goes into every aspect of the experience. A real upstate gem here."

"This restaurant is absolutely exceptional. Everything from the cocktails to appetizers, entrées, and dessert the food was incredible. In addition the staff here are some of the most friendly and hospitable of any restaurant in the area. 10/10 would recommend. Order the Katsu. The crisp is perfect. Also the matcha donuts pictured are delicious."

"True OG sushi. This is a great sushi place! The sushi chef is skilled and everything served is delicious. Too bad they only open at 5pm, we would have been regular at lunch time. Staff is nice but under numbered and we had to wait for 30 minutes for a iced tea and a beer. Still a great experience."

"I really appreciate the creativities in your sushi rolls and drinks. They are carefully prepared and very delicious. Katsu tastes like mom’s cooking back home. The Sando is something very unique and indulgent but I wished the milk bread was thicker. We sat upstairs and it was very warm. However, Dan was very attentive and friendly throughout. Will be back soon."
