"Had dinner at Monroe’s last night and I decided to write a review. The food was fantastic and service was great. I didn’t know what to expect, but gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The muscles were the largest muscles I’ve had and delicious. Seafood was cooked perfectly and all around a great meal. I will definitely be adding Monroe’s to the rotation. And the fries were amazing!"

"We had the dinner at this restaurant on a Friday 3days before Christmas. The first thing we saw was a Monroe status at the door. When we walked in it's warm and cozy. There were only 2 or 3 tables of customers having dinner. Our server is friendly to welcome us and lead us to the window table. It's a comfort zone. We ordered a French onion soup, Monroe Medley, a pork chop and the Pappardelle pasta. Except the soup( a little to vinegar and sour to me), everything is delicious and savory. We will bring out family here again to other different dish."

"Overall, it was a fun restaurant, and we were happy to find something open so late. We were on our way to the North Fork for the weekend, having been driving from LaGuardia, just having arrived from a flight. The place is festive and cocktails were great! Our waiter was attentive. We were one of the only tables there, so it was easy to be attentive, but he was good humored and he knew the menu. My husband had the burger, and he said it was cooked nicely. My only complaint was that I had the pappardelle Ragu and it was not as soft as pappardelles I have had in the past. Also, the Ragu was good, but it tasted more like pot roast than the 24-hour Neapolitan Ragu my son makes at home with braised meats. His Ragu is intense; he goes to the butcher and picks out all the cuts of meat, and let’s it simmer 24 hours and sets alarms and wakes up every two hours to stir it. The next time I come, I may try one of the other pastas, since his Neapolitan Ragu is one of my favorites. When you make your own pasta and it’s super soft and my son makes the sauce, it’s hard to compete. I should know better than to try to order Ragu at restaurants. Would definitely try this place again when we are back in the area; they also had some pretty great house red wines."
