"I have to give it to this place for the ambiance especially given its location is not ideal on a busy boulevard. The food on the other hand was not amazing. Worse yet the service was downright poor. They had the bust boys taking our order but they didn't speak English. We had the staff check in on our food after we were basically finished with it. Overall I think it's a good place for a date but don't go there for the food or the service. Just know what you're getting yourself into."
"Our first time here and our meal was superb! For appetizers we had the grilled artichokes. Stuffed clams. Beet salad and calamari. One was better then the next! The salad and the artichokes were prepared with the most amazing burrata cheese! Our pasta dishes were also excellent! Pepe and caccio was my favorite. Dinner entrees were plentiful and also very flavorful! Even though we were overstuffed, we had to have the apple d sweet and gelato! The staff as very attentive and friendly. Sandro was a pleasure to meet and takes very good care of you! Make a reservation ASAP!"
"We had an amazing dinner at Sandro's Italian in Manhasset. The MOZZARELLA IN CARROZZA with spicy Vodka sauce was great. CALAMARI ARRABIATA was nicely spiced aggressively but not overwhelming. BUCATINI & CLAMS , house-made pasts with fresh clams, nice combination of beautiful olive oil and butter to give it that texture you get in Rome. Speaking of Rome the Roman classic BUCATINI CARBONARA was executed perfect !! Guanciale was crispy and delicious with nicely fond egg, pepper and cheese sauce. Cannoli was house made crispy shell and delicious filling ! Service was friendly and competent. Overall an experience worth repeating !!"
"Cozy Italian neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. The owner greeted us and checked up multiple times which is rare these days. We had the pappardelle with wild mushroom this one best pasta dishes I have ever eaten. The bone in veal chop was delicious and cooked perfectly. Will be coming back for sure."
"The food here is amazing and the service was top notch. My wife and I came here for our 10 year anniversary and they made it a perfect night for us. I definitely will be returning. The owner was very friendly and attentive, he went to every table making sure everyone was enjoying there dinner."
