About the Business

Vulcano 081

Vulcano 081 is a renowned food institution located at 43 North Village Avenue in Rockville Centre, New York, United States. Specializing in authentic Pizza Napoletano, the restaurant pays homage to the traditional Neapolitan pizza created in 1889 to honor Queen Margherita. Using only the freshest ingredients and authentic dough, each pizza is baked at 1,000 degrees for approximately 90 seconds, resulting in a soft and foldable crust with blackened charred spots, characteristic of true Pizza Napoletano. Diners can expect a unique culinary experience, with each pizza being an individual work of art. Whether you choose to eat with a knife and fork like the locals in Napoli or enjoy it American-style, a visit to Vulcano 081 promises a taste of Italy in the heart of New York.

"It's been awhile since I've been here but it's as good as it's always been. Came here for dinner with my husband. It is a nice small town dining spot. More of an intimate setting. The staff was wonderful. All of them were super attentive, one was always on top of the drinks, another was on top of the food, another was always attentive to clear the table and pack leftovers. They have a tues Wednesday special of a four course meal, it was an absolute steal! You got an appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert for less that $30. The portions were just right! We both choose different items to share and have a taste of everything. The suppli was packed full of flavor. The pizzas were just as incredible as i remember! The Margherita was and has always been my favorite there with the Bianca coming in as a close second. Ended the night with tiramisu and chocolate gelato, it was perfect finish to the night."

"Yummy Margherita pizza and added Italian sausage on half. The mozzarella cheese was the best ever!"

"My boyfriend and I loves going here for a date night. We have been going here for more than 3 years, and him and his family has been going here for a long time. Food is great, nice ambiance, and servers are just so nice and awesome! We tried their Lunch specials just recently and we love it!"

"Had two margherita pizzas and an arugula salad. The cheese and the pizza dough had great taste, but the basil was a bit strong (not sure why). The arugula salad was perfect, with the right amount of dressing and fresh shaved cheese on top. The decor was simple and had a rustic feel, but the music didn’t match the vibe. Too upbeat for an early evening dinner."

"My husband and I were in the area and decided to stop in. We ended up sharing 2 pies and a pitcher of sangria (peach and strawberry).. I’m very indecisive so I asked our server Adrian for his advice and he was the best. He gave me his recommendations based on what he likes but also urged that I try their signature pizza as it’s a crowd favorite and I’m glad he did. It was amazing! Sweet with a bit of spice! He also served up the best sangria sweet but not too sweet! Delicious! Would definitely recommend and will be back to try some more dishes. Service is really important these days and Adrian really made our experience memorable! Thanks Adrian!"
