Tocolo Cantina Glen Cove

"Stopped in for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. They had a lunch special in addition to their regular menu. Got guacamole, 2 birria tacos and blood orange virgin margarita. It was absolutely delicious. My waiter, Sebastian, was friendly and attentive. The guacamole was great as was the chips and salsa. The birria tacos were absolutely delicious! I plan on stopping in again to try something else on the menu and have another blood orange margarita!"

"New place in Glen Cove. I read a lot of reviews before visiting this place. With some , I agree. The food was ok, I can't tell it was terrible, but still. If place charge not little money for that,it's should be at least better then just ok. We celebrated birthday dinner. And I make a hint ,what we have birthday dinner. And we ordered dessert, but not a little congratulations, I didn't see . Next,we drink margarita, and just because I have a headache from house one. I prefer charge for some different tequila( which of course cost more money). The first circle we had what we asked. But after the bartender thought, we can say different . I asked for change, but still, I don't like this move . Sangria was very terrible. The only thing i liked it was churros . So anyway, i don't think I will come back,but it's was experience."

"Great addition to the downtown Glen Cove area. Fun, lively and beautifully decorated, this a great for a group. Lots of booths to get get cozy in. Service was terrific. Margherita selection was very good and they offered a Tajin rim with the Margherita, which was tasty. Tried several different types of tacos - the birria was a favorite of our table. Definitely check it out."

"After hearing good things, randomly decided to pop in for lunch on a Saturday. Wow were we impressed. Everyone was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. My wife and I came in with our 2 kids. They were able to sit us in a corner so we could tuck the stroller out of the way (which I'm sure they appreciated as well) and offered my daughter a kids menu with crayons. The drinks were great and the food was amazing. We were there just after noon so took advantage of the happy hour drink specials (12 - 4) and the weekend only brunch menu. Tried the breakfast burrito...Delicious and a huge portion. Wife had the Mexican Cobb Salad. Another home run. We will definitely be back. Need to try the rest of the menu. If our experience today is any indication, I am definitely looking forward to it."

"To say I'm satisfied is an understatement. Everything about this experience was first class. We were welcomed in by the host staff and sat immediately. Indoor and outdoor seating options, we chose indoors. Seats were comfortable and as a bigger guy that says a lot. Always appreciated. Started off our night by getting a margarita and the crispy wings. Believe it or not, this is what made the night. What a great first impression. The drink was made perfectly, and the wings. Don't even get me started on the wings. Amazingly crispy outside, tender on the inside, complemented by the sauce was sensational for the tastebuds. So since the wings were the peak of the meal, I was hoping the entrees lived up to the apps. And they definitely did. The carne asada and chicken tacos are fantastic, and the Tacolo chop salad is a healthy serving of all ingredients. The whole night was brought together by excellent service to match the food. Didn't get dessert but will update this review when I do. All in all, a great experience and will be coming back soon!"
