Veneto Wood Fired Pizza & Pasta 318 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14604

"We chose this restaurant because we had heard good things about it and we weren’t disappointed. We were seated promptly and greeted by a very nice waiter/server. He explained the specials of the evening and took our drink orders. They have a very nice selection of cocktails, wine, beer and even cider. We ordered a large salad for the table and they served homemade bread which we used to dip into the left over dressing. So good. The place is nice with seating near the window and seating at the bar. You can make reservations to sit at the bar. It was a little loud at times but we sat near the windows and I think that helped with reducing the noice. Our food came out promptly and was so delicious and flavorful at the table we got the Pasta Rustica with homemade rigatoni, Prosciutto with peas Alfredo,and a woodfire mushroom pizza. The restaurant was busy and 3 different tables celebrating birthdays but it still was pleasant to be in. I would definitely go back and a reservation is required. Parking requires a $10 fee."

"Veneto has a great selection of pasta and pizza, and everything we ordered was yummy. The standout for me was the seafood cream pasta special we ordered. Service was friendly, but it did seem like they were very busy, which made it hard for us to flag down our server, and it also took quite a while for us to order and for our food to come (for context, we arrived on time for our 6pm reservation, but we didn't get food until an hour or so later). Overall though, there's something for everyone, kids and adults alike, and everything that came out was good, so a positive experience overall."

"MAMMA MIA! What a fantastic new addition to the East Ave restaurant scene. The Rigatoni a la Bolognese is one of the best Italian dishes I’ve had in my life, it’s worth the trip all by itself. Great pizzas too, along with absolutely top-notch desserts (and this is coming from a cannoli snob). Highly recommended."
