"Some stuff is ridiculously priced, sometimes you get a chair for a dollar and a brand new name brand pr of jeans for 99 cents. That's thrifting, and it's wayyyy cheaper than the Batavia Goodwill. People say employees are grouchy, but I don't find that to be true. Know the rules, no tag, no price...NO SALE, Period."

"Very confused as to why this Salvation Army thinks they are an antique or consignment store. The prices are ridiculous. A small breakfast table with chairs was $300, I saw a candle for 2.99 and behind it was the original tag that said it was on clearance for 75 cents. Mind you they get these items for free. It is disgusting how greedy they are. I can’t afford new furniture and apparently I can’t afford thrift furniture either, really disappointed."

"If you follow me and my reviews you know I'm a HUGE bargain hunter and absolutely despise paying full price for something I can get from a church sale or thrift store for a fraction of the price or better yet free! I also love the feeling of not adding to the landfill by recycling used! So I've been on the prowl looking for specific vintage curtains for my living room. Being in the Batavia area I stopped in the salvation army thrift store on Jackson st to hoping to find my curtains. Browsing the store I was approached by the assistant manager (Tanya) who made herself available for for any questions, what a nice surprise! Pricing is pretty good in my opinion, customer service is really good and the store is well organized. So the shopping experience was fun and I'll definitely go back again. Unfortunately my search continues for my curtains!"

"i’d give 0 stars if i could. rudest employees of any establishment i’d ever been to, the cashier up front in particular - no clue how she still works there. half the clothes are ripped and stained. don’t bother going there."

"Never going back because it was so disgusting!! I wasn't expecting a super clean store, but there was a futon mattress that looked like it was pulled out of the "Hoarders" TV show and was caked in some brown mud/bug/fecal matter. I almost puked. I instantly left my shirt I had picked up, and felt like I had cockroaches crawling all over me! I've never been so grossed out and for a business to actually sell something like that is disgusting. Just because people don't have the cash to buy a brand new item, does not mean they don't care about cleanliness! Get your act together Batavia Salvation Army!!"
