"Shop was able to get me an appointment first thing on New Years Day. Was able to repair a tire that I thought for sure would need to be replaced. Did not try to up-sell on services or pressure me to do additional tasks that were of marginal need or value. Work was performed quickly and well. An all-around excellent experience."

"The place was and clean, the staff was welcoming and friendly. I felt like I was being dealt with in and honest way, unlike other places that talk down to customers and try to sell services that aren’t necessary. I was given choices, given a written copy of the estimate for repairs needed and given a chance to make an informed decision. I’ll be calling them back to make an appointment. This woman is happy!"

"Great service on a pre-purchase inspection. We got the car there an hour late, having first gone to the wrong location. PLEASE DON'T REPEAT OUR MISTAKE, check which end of Erie Blvd East you need to go to. Once he found out that I'd be late for my DMV appointment Alec the manager inspected the car himself. He was quick and thorough, all while he was running the place. By the grease on his hands, he's a hands-on manager. The price was reasonable, I'd go there again."

"I usually go to the Firestone at 711 Erie Blvd east. I accidentally made an appointment at this location and went along with it. Very nice manager (Alec). I am very happy with the customer service I was provided. However, I got new rotors and a new caliper prior to a long trek. One caliper fell off on my drive. I had to get it towed and fixed at an alternate shop (no Firestone around). Firestone offered to pay for any fixing and towing. Even though the shop I went to charged me nothing, Firestone refunded me $100 for my troubles. This seems like it was an accident so I have no hard feelings. But I feel I was put in harm's way with both my rear calipers loose and one fallen off. Thanks Alec for the great customer service. I most likely will not get my breaks changed here again just for my own peace of mine. But I'll be back for oil changes because I really like Firestone."

"Solid. Inexpensive. Treats customers well. I generally try to use indy tire places for my vehicles, even for my semi-beater VW station wagon, but I was in a hurry, and needed my Tire Rack tires installed before a trip. Over the phone, these guys agreed to put on the tires the day I called them, if I could show up by noon and leave the car 'til 7pm. When I got there a few minutes after noon, they were super-friendly, and promised they'd get it done. Because I rushed up there, my ride couldn't arrive until a few hours later. I spent a couple hours in the waiting room, and got to hear the staff interacting with customers. They were unfailingly polite, and seemed to treat everyone well, and, as far as I could tell, they were prompt about calling folks to give them details about on-going repairs, or when repairs were finished. I've dealt with many, many mechanics and service writers, who, though very competent, were not nearly this good about dealing with customers. My ride finally got there, and I spent the rest of the day bombing around Syracuse. Firestone called me back at 6:30pm or so to let me know that the work was done and that if I couldn't make it back before they closed, they'd be happy to stow my car indoors. When I arrived, they recognized me, gave me a friendly greeting, and charged me less than I expected to pay. They even gave me some advice on removing rust from my lug bolts (I'm still getting used to living someplace where they salt the roads all winter). The tires seemed to ride just fine, with no untoward vibration. I did get a warning on the dashboard about tire inflation after about 60 miles about (everything was fine, one tire looked like it was inflated to about 2 pounds less than the others). I'm not sure whether this was my VW being fussy, or whether they didn't get a chance to reset the tire pressure monitor on the dashboard after changing the tires. In any case, I think they did a good job, and for a low price. And, bonus, there are a variety of tasty restaurants right around the corner."
