"My husband and I eat here often. The staff are great. The food is delicious. The price is very good for all the selection they have. It's just a great place to go to eat, enjoy your meal and feel great when you leave. Barring a disaster with their mode of operation I can't imagine not visiting The Golden Oak at least once or twice a month. Is it gourmet - no. Is it great in it's own right - yes. We very much suggest you give it a try if you're in Oak Ridge."

"I'm always seated promptly and have never waited on a table. The food is always hot and fresh and they have many other options if you don't prefer Chinese. They also have a sushi section with a sushi chef behind the counter and you can watch him prepare it so you know it's fresh. If you come on the right day, they also have the most perfectly cooked crawdads..mm! Best and only buffet I go to!"

"We visited on a Thursday evening around 7:30PM staying in Oak Ridge for the night. Kids wanted to do a all you can eat buffet. The restaurant is kind of what you would expected for a Asian all you can eat buffet. The price for what we got was pretty hard to beat. There were a large number of Asian-American foods to pick from. They had a sushi bar area which had a decent selection of rolls. A little over a dozen. Although as we got closer to closing the selection dropped significantly so don't go too late. There was also a hibachi grill area where the kids got to pick their own ingredients which they enjoyed. The desserts were okay and as to be expected. The highlight for me was the ice cream which was brand name in tubs that you scoop yourself. I also missed it as it was hidden at the end of the buffet behind the dessert area. They had chocolate, vanilla, salted caramel and some coffee flavor. All delicious. If we lived in town we could see ourselves eating here every so often as like a treat or something. If we were to pass through Oak Ridge again we would definitely be stopping by. Just can't beat the value especially with 3 kids."

"I've had better, and I've had worse. Over all it was good. Table service was good. They have hibachi option. Shrimp sauce was good. I wish there was a sweet and sour sauce offered that is not the standard red colored stuff. The building is cool. It didn't hurt my stomach so that alone is worth five stars."
