"My family was staying in Blue Ridge for the week and my son loves trains so I searched for trains nearby (other than the blue ridge scenic railway) and stumbled upon th Mineral Bluff Depot and low and behold they were having a ride the rails event the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. This place is an absolute gem for train lovers. My 5 year old son did not want to leave. He loved the model train display. This display is one of the best I have seen. The volunteers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The ride the rails event was a lot of fun and is a very enjoyable ride. Highly recommend!!"

"Had a fantastic experience here today! So good that I decided to volunteer to help them with keeping tge right-of-way cleared. The display inside to old depot building is first-rate. We did the rare ride on the small (very small) train through the beautiful wood and across the river. The grandkids LOVED the entire experience."
