Owned and operated by Sam Clonts and Raymond Trinh, this intimate establishment offers a seasonal menu of modern American fare with global influences. Chef Sam Clonts, a Michelin-starred executive chef, showcases his appreciation for local ingredients in dishes that are both comforting and elegant. Sam and Raymond, who have been friends for fifteen years and business partners for nearly a decade, opened Sixty Three Clinton as a place where friends, neighbors, and visitors can enjoy a truly memorable dining experience in New York City. Sam's culinary journey began in Tucson, Arizona, where he worked his way up in the kitchen before moving to Manhattan to further his career. Raymond, born to Vietnamese refugees, also found his passion for hospitality at a young age and honed his skills in various restaurants before joining forces with Sam in New York City.
Together, Sam and Raymond have created a dining destination that celebrates their shared love for food and hospitality. "Celebrated our anniversary at this gem, and the experience was exceptional. The top-notch service and delightful caviar hand roll were highlights. The food, a perfect 10/10—impeccable balance and flavors. Despite comments on portion size, with 7 courses, they're just right, leaving room for dessert and an extra glass of wine. We're already planning our return!"
"10/10 service. The two chefs themselves switch out and become servers which shows the emphasis this restaurant puts into service. We had a great time eating at the bar - a great date atmosphere. The food was light and inventive. But giving this 4 stars because the portions were definitely on the small side, we wound up getting dollar pizza on the walk home. Lots to like here though and I could see myself returning."
"Amazing detail to service and exceptional focus on experience. Every person that stopped by at our table knew where we were in our courses, knew what we were each drinking, where our conversation left off with someone else, and the overall orchestration was seamless. Get the hand roll made special for you by the chef (earlier time slots in reservations). Don’t hesitate to engage in conversation, they are so knowledgeable and will share secrets—we got super secret recipe to brining our turkey before thanksgiving. It was amazing. What a gift!"
"Absolutely my favorite restaurant in NYC! I’ve been here well over 8 times and every time is just as exciting, if not better than the last! Every dish is perfectly balanced between flavor and texture and the caviar hand rolls are to die for. Trust me when I say they don’t skimp on the caviar. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I work in wine and can honestly say the wine list is curated to perfection."
"Just perfect. Highly recommend Sixty Three Clinton for a special occasion - we came here for my birthday and the meal absolutely made my night. Everything on the menu was fabulous (especially loved the mackerel and apple sorbet, which had had the most beautiful texture) and everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. They even gave me a little card which was such a sweet gesture. Also 10/10 recommend getting the caviar hand roll as an add-on - so luxurious and just buttery divine goodness. We’ve dined out a lot this year and this place is definitely a standout. Will definitely be back, hopefully soon!"
