"*I am not leaving this review under my actual name to avoid any more issues with this man* I have been seeing this farce of a doctor for a number of years specifically to get my medical marijuana certification because he doesn't charge a fee for it; that's the only positive thing I can say about him. This is a one person business- no receptionist, no nurses, no one in the office but him. His office hours are absolutely ridiculous, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-5 and he is ALWAYS late. Do NOT schedule a 1pm appointment, you will be sitting in the parking lot for 40 minutes waiting. He doesn't show up until 130 I'm the afternoon, his office is outdated and not the cleanest. I have no idea how this man is practicing medicine; he has no clue about current medications or vaccinations. He was stunned and didn't believe me when I told him that even getting the COVID-19 vaccine, people are still dying; this "doctor" doesn't have a clue about anything medical at all. My suspicion is that he is a med pusher; if that's what you're looking for, see him. You can only make appointments online, even if you're on the phone with him, he will not let you make an appointment. He has messed up on my certification before, putting me as a new patient instead of an existing patient which led to me having to call the MM program and have them fix it on their end. He ABSOLUTELY insists on being made your PCP even if he isn't which means you need to call your insurance company and have him be listed as your primary. There was an issue with my insurance ( not my fault) and instead of billing Medicaid like he said he would, he sent me a bill. After a bunch of phone calls to my insurance company, they said to have him resend the invoice and he was paid. Even though he was paid, he still cancelled my certification without telling me. So when I went to get my medication, I had no idea why I wasn't in the system. Another phone call to the MM program and they explained what he did. I am stunned that a doctor would cancel a prescription without telling the patient EVEN AFTER HE WAS PAID. When I called to get this fixed, he refused to just email me the certification insisting he had mailed it; he definitely didn't mail it because he wasn't even in the office. So he's dishonest and lazy as well. I guess with being so detailed if he actually reads his reviews, he'll know who I am. I have never encountered a doctor like this; someone so uncaring and outdated. There are much better doctors out there who are educated, on time, and who won't cancel your prescription for no reason. Pass this doctor by and see someone who knows what they're doing and who cares. Any positive reviews, I am sure are coming from med seekers and not actual patients who see him on a regular basis or for illnesses. I am appalled by his actions and behavior."

"I have had the pleasure to be with Dr.Alvarez now for over 3yrs.. He is very attentive, caring, great bedside manners as well. He has a sense of humor that some may take wrong but overall he makes great conversation, listens well, a professional doctor. He has never made me feel uncomfortable, answers all of my medical concerns."
