About the Business

Welcome to Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club, located at 68 Jay Street in New York, United States. Founded in 2010 by Olympian and U.S. Fencing Hall of Fame Member, Dan Kellner, we are proud to be Brooklyn's premier fencing club.

At Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club, we have a legacy of excellence with numerous champions in various categories. Our club goes beyond just teaching fencing; we aim to shape champions and foster a community of exceptional individuals.

We offer introductory private fencing lessons for children as young as 5 years old, where they will learn the basics of footwork, blade work, and the rules of fencing. Our beginner classes provide a fun and engaging environment for young fencers to learn and grow.

Joining Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club is an investment in your child's athletic achievement and personal growth. Our club promotes an active lifestyle, teaches children to pay attention, builds personal responsibility and character, provides a safe outlet for aggression, and can make college applications stand out.

Whether you are looking to start your fencing journey or continue honing your skills, Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club is the place to be. Join us and be a part of a legacy that defines greatness.

"I've been taking adult saber lessons since June 2023 and I am very impressed with both the kindness, humility, and the rigor that my coaches instill in me! I feel very at home and friendly with the entire club because they are all very supportive. We do drills, footwork, and bouts each class both with the electrics and without. The club is known for its founder, Olympic foil fencer Dan Kellner, and my coaches, Kata and Fraser are both international champions and world-renowned saber fencers. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!!! Thank you BBFC!"

"I've known Dan for over 30 years and not only was he a great competitor since high school, he ended up being an Olympian. He has given his heart and soul to fencing and has opened this great club. Anytime I'm in town, I bring my kids to train here. He has a great youth program, is a great guy, and most importantly a great coach!"

"My daughter found her second home at BBFC. The coaches provide top level instruction and are always looking for positive, constructive ways to challenge her. They’re focused on development and sportsmanship, which we appreciate. We couldn’t be happier and plan to be here for a long time!"

"Very well organized after school programs. My son started a month ago, and so far really likes it. The instructors are high quality. Space is large and airy. Good communication with parents."

"Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club is an amazing place. My 12 year old son joined the club almost two years ago. At that time he had never committed to an organized sport; he struggled mightily with inattention and frustration tolerance. BBFC has helped him become more responsible, focused, and self aware. The coaches are fantastic, they are patient and consistent, and they create a warm and respectful community. My son is more confident and can both win and lose with grace. He happily attends class 3x a week. I can't say enough good things about BBFC and recommend it highly."
