"Hudson Wine & Spirits, located at the corner of Hudson and Laight Street is the perfect stop off at the end of any good or bad day. (It's also a little sanctuary from the sea of traffic horns round rush hour). There are high quality wines at every price range. Some are better known, some are sleepers. The owner is a true gentleman. Intuitive kind, never hovering over your shoulder, but always ready to help. As a result of the variety and carefully selected selections, I am not overwhelmed by choices, and I find that calming as well. BTW, I live one block north of Canal Street, and I never considered this store as a go-to, since I didn't think it could be closer to other neighborhood wine stores. But it's really just a hop, skip and jump (two blocks) south of Canal."
"This is the best wine store! Great collection of USA, French, Italian, Australian and South African wine at great prices. Very good customer service - has a great CRM system, always knows what your last order was, so you can get it again. Offers speedy delivery. Has great spirits, champagne and even glasses. A true local store with an owner who really looks after his customers, and he really knows his wine!"
