"The Bird House is a beautiful and relaxing salon with a friendly staff. Ona has been doing my color since I moved to NY five years ago, and I followed her to the Bird House. She is by far the best colorist I've ever had, she is an artist. She makes my highlights look natural, the color is always stunning, and it grows out naturally without an obvious line where my "normal" hair color grows in. I highly recommend Ona if you're looking for one of the most talented colorists in NYC."

"The Birdhouse is quite literally the only salon I go to in New York. I naturally have very thick and curly hair and it was damaged from getting it bleached and colored in the past — so I was scared to come in and ask for a full head of red hair. But I went from having dry, damaged hair with box dye residue to having the smoothest hair and my curls revived in the most beautiful shade of copper/red and it’s all thanks to Ona! She’s so talented and precise and so knowledgeable and is probably the reason I know how to properly care for my hair. I recommend her and Birdhouse to everyone who asks me about my hair no joke. "I had gone to every high end salon in Manhattan and while my color was good I always felt that they never got my color close enough to the roots. So I started trying a few places in Brooklyn. After a few rough tries I finally found Ash at the Birdhouse and she is unbelievable! An incredible colorist and stylist who I followed to Bushwick when the Birdhouse opened a new location, and every time I see her my color and cuts are just beautiful! In fact my insanely picky husband goes to her as does my 19 year old son and 22 year old daughter. Everything she does is beautiful and we would never go anywhere else. The other artists do incredible work too and the staff is space in wonderful. I can't recommend her or the Birdhouse Bushwick enough!"
