"So one of my coworkers mentioned to me that this is his favorite sandwich in the city. Hearing that I had to give it a try and let me tell you…it did not disappoint. It’s an old school, small little shop that still is cash only. There’s about 40 different types of sandwiches and each one is made fresh right in front of you. I ordered the 17 which included prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, arugula and a balsamic dressing. It was loaded with meat and cheese and the dressing was delicious. For about $16 you get like a 15-16in sandwich. Enough for leftovers the next day. I cannot wait to go back and give a few of the other sandwiches a try!"

"Very authentic Italian sandwich place. Highly recommend. Nino was very friendly and our sandwich tasted great. Big portion, feeds 2 people. Very fresh ingredients. They slice the prosciutto on the spot. Special bread costs a bit extra. CASH only!"

"Oh this is 100% worth the hype. I love that it looks like an assuming stop & very glad our friend recommended it. Not sure if the man himself usually works here but he was there when we went so maybe that's why it was that extra special but honestly, these sandwiches are AMAZING. We're from Europe, so the sizes were quite intimidating and split two sandwiches between 4: the special (a spicy wonder that I'm still dreaming of) on a sub & the house special on focaccia. The foccacia looks dense but tastes so soft and fresh! The meat is very well flavoured and the layers of veg, salad, & sauces is just perfection. This is everything I dreamed of in a New York sandwich / sub. It is 100% worth the time. Also, do ask if you'd like it cut into halves or quarters, and you can take it to eat for later (which still holds up, as I was the wuss of the group who couldn't finish mine)."

"Got the pisillo on ciabatta, a little under $20. Long sandwich, like 12-14 inches long. Definitely recommend sharing it. Initial bites I would give an 8/10. After the first half, the remaining got a bit tiring, 7/10. Would like if they had hot sandwiches."

"I ordered my sandwich on the J going over the bridge, and it was ready by the time I got to Fulton Street! Recommend ordering ahead if you don’t have cash. The sandwiches are huge and definitely splittable. I got a mozzarella and hot pepper sandwich on the sesame bread—incredible bread and great flavors on the sandwich."
