"Always a good place to dine. Today was a slow day, but service still had good timing. Our server was very professional and attentive to us. She did not show us she was miserable to work that day. I recommend Metuchen Diner to grab something to eat."
"Today is new year, I went with my hubby to this local diner for the first time. We were excited to try it out. As soon as the waitress came to our table, we sensed that she was impatient. When we started ordering and asking questions about the menu, she first said she didn’t know the menu well and didn’t bother to figure it out, then talked down to me. There’s never a silly question from customers, and this never should be the reason the waitress could show condescending attitude towards customers. In addition, the waitress recommended us ordering soup without specifying extra charge. And in the end when we clarified the cost, she said everything is on the menu, indicating that we should have known our dish does not come with soup. We are honestly very disappointed with the service."
"This diner was mediocre at best. Me and my group were seated quickly which was good. Upon sitting down I definitely noticed the silverware was not that clean which was off-putting. The waitress came quickly but was easily flustered by small order changes we would make. The food came out hot and it was pretty good by diner standards. The All American breakfast was something I would definitely get again if I ever come back. Again not the best but not the worst diner I have been to."

"Had appetizers & dessert. Had onion rings & mozzarella. It was enough for 2 people to share! Very delicious. The cheesecake & coconut pie was even more amazing!"
