"Better than what it used to be, less crime area for now..."

"Pros: 1. The location of the apartments are conveniently located near I-264. 2. The cost of living is lower than other apartments. 3. Water is included in the rent. Cons: 1. The apartments are falling apart due to being so old and poorly maintained.(Closet doors falling off, carpets with patch work, windows without screens, cables installed having to be re-ran due to improper signal flows, etc) 2. The maintenance department is inadequate and unable to properly fix things the correct way, even after 3-4 attempts. (For example my roommate and I went two months with intermittent and ultimately catastrophic failure from our heating unit, only after the 5th or 6th attempt at fixing it along with constant harassment of the staff did anything get resolved. The maintenance staff stripped another apartment of its heating unit in order to replace ours.) 3. Towing is strictly enforced to individuals without the parking permit. (A friend had stopped by to drop off some presents after the holidays, 30 minutes elapsed and the vehicle was towed.) 4. The walls and ceilings are extremely paper thin, which allows the walking of neighbors upstairs to be heard literally 24/7 walking around as if they are "the walking dead". As well as noise being easily transferred through the walls, smells are also delivered easily through. (For example each evening when I come home I can smell illegal substances being smoked next door, this is absolutely foul!) Opinion: Spend an extra $200-$300 per month and find a better apartment. My roommate and I will not be renewing our contract."
