"We stayed here for an extended weekend getaway. The Hideaway exceeded pretty much every expectation, and was perfect for retaining all the creature comforts of home, just on an isolated parcel of paradise out in the Shenandoahs. We went to have a good few days to ourselves, and spent equal time inside and out of the house. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well stocked and the kitchen was better equipped than the one we have at home. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly reliable, with no drops and speed just fast enough to stream videos at reduced quality. Outside has a huge amount of space for stargazing, picnicking, and light sports. The location grants you access to the gorgeous Skyline Drive on the mountain ridge, as well as all the associated hiking trails, a plethora of wineries, a peek at both ends of farm-to-table, and (with a slightly longer drive) a variety of historical sites that we didn’t have time for but would have been next on our list. The defining factor of the entire experience was our host. Michael left two binders in the house; one for places to eat and taste wine, and one for various activities. As total outsiders to the area we greatly appreciated the information and it helped us construct our days efficiently. He was also quick to answer any questions, and was happy to assist us in a couple of special requests on short notice. The house is filled with lots of little touches that helped us feel welcomed even for the short time we stayed, and if we had the option we would have stayed twice or even three times as long!"

"What a fantastic place! The cabin is exceptionally clean and comfortable, with everything you could need during your stay. Spending time on the screen porches is a must! The calming natural surroundings, thoughtful details, and proximity to beautiful hikes and wineries all made our vacation one to remember. The kitchen is spacious with high-end cooking features, and we loved the fancy Keurig! The living room is super cozy and we enjoyed playing the board games. The glitter floors on the downstairs were fun and the geothermal floor heating was very neat. The whole house was very tastefully decorated and we enjoyed looking at the art pieces (and the “Owl’s Nest”, aka the master bedroom, was adorable). We also loved the fire pit! The host is very responsive, detailed and professional. The hospitality and amenities that went with our stay were very accommodating and much appreciated. Highly recommend!"

"Went to the Hideaway for a girls weekend retreat and when we arrived we were great by our lovely host Michael. Michael is friendly, knowledgeable and a very attentive host! The amenities at the Hideway are 5 Star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Chef’s kitchen with all high end appliances, The most comfortable beds and high end linen’s. Double screened porches which allows you to immerse yourself in nature. If you are wanting to relax, refresh and enjoy all the options that the fabulous Shenandoah Mountains offer hiking, horses and wineries then the Hideway is your home away from home! I have already booked my next stay!!"
