Ocean Cove Motel

"I paid for a full room and kitchen they charged me for that room however when I showed up to check in they put me in a room with one full size bed a roll-out cot as well as a miniature refrigerator and microwave instead of the full kitchen they did not refund any of my money for the difference of the room I completely stripped the room and had everything white down before they came in to clean and they also kept my security deposit it shows family-owned but I would not recommend staying here at all you're going to waste your money because you're not going to get what you paid for"

"Looovvveeedddd Norma. Very friendly and informative. Got us in and out fast during check in and check out process. Explained billing process so we weren’t confused. Location is one block from beach and very quiet. A true hidden gem."

"We brought a large family. Loved the fact that the place is family owed and run. We were treated like we we family too. Cute area out back for grilling, ping pong and corn hole. Loved the cleanliness of the rooms, including the tile floors which are so much better than carpet for keeping the sand out! Staff was kind and available all hours. Location was fantastic. We did not use our cars the whole stay. You can walk 4 blocks to the grocery store, 2blocks to the beach and multiple restaurants are under a block, 7-11 across the street. There is an outdoor shower for cleaning off after the beach. All of our rooms had either a fridge or a mini fridge and a coffee maker. Best part of it all was the kind and friendly staff!"

"The place itself felt generally located to everything within reasonable distance. There was nothing integral about the billing process. The fact I swiped my card and was not immediately billed, but 3 almost 4 weeks after I checked out and they kept my deposit makes it sketchy. Even after having various other reservations on the strip, this place was the only place I had the most problems with in reference to billing. The cleanliness of the room and towels could have been better and the service of housekeeping always coming at an inconvenient time put a damper on things."

"The location is fine for a beach motel, but I don't appreciate the scam of keeping your $150 deposit. I have never had someone try to keep a deposit before this because no one has ever claimed to need to. Bed is uncomfortable. Room is not that clean and they will try to keep your security deposit for a fake reason. Even though they saw us pull up to the place after a 10-hour road trip, they tried to claim we had a dog on the premises and that is why they kept our deposit. However, they didn't charge this fee until three weeks after we had left which someone else could have been in there in between. When I checked in they accidentally kept my driver's license and I couldn't get it back until the next morning."
