About the Business
Spotlight Acro and Cheer is RVA's Premier Tumbling, Cheer, Ninja, and Gymnastics Center located at 6078 Mechanicsville Turnpike in Mechanicsville, Virginia. If your kids are constantly flipping, bending, and cartwheeling around the house, it's time to bring them to Spotlight! We offer classes in Tumbling Plus, which includes Cheerleading or Gymnastics (Bars and Beam). Our gymnastics-based program allows kids to progress through skill levels while earning badges for positive character traits. Instructors focus on behavior, bravery, strength, kindness, and more. Kids will receive a Spotlight Ninja T-shirt and Achieve Sleeve to wear in class. Master our Spotlight Ninja level classes and advance to learn "tricking" skills that defy gravity. Our cheer classes focus on powerful tumbling, impressive jumps, safe stunting, teamwork, and preparation for school or competitive cheer. We have expanded our gym to offer even more gymnastics classes, teaching strength, balance, coordination, and tumbling skills. All levels are welcome, starting with preschoolers aged 3-5. "We absolutely love the open gym events they have. My kids love it so much that we decided to have an open gym birthday party here! The two staff members that helped during our party were so good with the kids and everything went seemlessly and we all had a wonderful time. It was nice to be able to mingle and have fun and not have to worry about setting up and serving and cleaning up! The owner Sue is so sweet and kind and is a pleasure to work with. "Both daughters take Ninja Monkey classes and absolutely love it! All of the coaches are so skilled, patient, and kind. They do a wonderful job of encouraging the kids to have fun but also advance in their skills. There’s no coddling but it’s also not a militant environment where the kids are treated more like professional athletes than kids. They do an amazing job of balancing between a positive, encouraging experience while still challenging the kids to push themselves and advance. Outside of the great classes, we’ve also attended and held birthday parties at Spotlight that have been so much fun for the kids and seamless for the parents. Spotlight is just a wonderful place all around. Our family loves it!"
