UrgentVet - Short Pump

"We got up Saturday morning and our pup had blood in both ears and would scream in pain when we tried to look at them. I found out about Urgent Vet with a Google search. We reserved our spot online. When we arrived someone greeted us within minutes. Everyone, the techs, vet were very kind and took such good care of our pup. We were in and out within two hours. They ran labs, cleaned his ears and placed medicine in his ears that lasts 30 days. They gave instructions that were easy to understand. Was it cheap? No, but a lot cheaper than the emergency vet and they gave us a estimate before anything was done to give us options. We couldn't wait until Tuesday when our vet opened and I couldn't ask for better care for our fur baby. Yes we will go to them if needed in the future and would definitely recommend to others. Thank you for caring and being there."

"Our 2yr German Shepherd Abbie expressed her anal glands in the house on Friday. We thought she was ok. Friday night she paced all night long and didn’t really sleep. Saturday morning I googled who was open as our regular vet is closed weekends. UrgentVet Short Pump came up. I didn’t know such a place existed until yesterday. They were absolutely fantastic! We were greeted with a warm welcome and advised that we could have up to a 3 hour wait due to another patient. Not a problem at all. The exam room was large and very roomy. The tech was in within 30 minutes and the vet not long after. They took excellent care of Abbie and determined what the problem was (thankfully nothing serious or life threatening). We were in and out in about 2 1/2 hours with injections on board and probiotics to give at home. The total bill was hundreds less than your ER bill (and because they said we had to wait they applied a coupon to our bill) and we didn’t have to wait for hours to have our girl checked , taking time away from emergency situations either! All of the staff were amazing and Abbie even gave a few kisses. Should we have another need arise where one of our shepherds needs to be seen on a weekend and our regular vet is closed, we will definitely use UrgentVet Short Pump again. Thank y’all for taking such great care of Abbie yesterday! She’s doing amazing today and is back to herself."

"I received terrible news that my cat had to be euthanized the day I brought him in. Total shock, total devastation. They allowed me to take him home for a few hours and stayed open late and we're the kindest during the most awful day off my life so the other owner could drive several hours to get there. It was completely terrible but the staff was just so kind and didn't rush me or anything. I will continue to use them for my other cat. This is the place to go. They helped with everything. Financially and emotionally. I am struggling terribly but they did everything they could and I couldn't have asked for more kindness and assistance than they gave me. They care. Truly. Thank you for taking care of Krusty and myself. I won't forget it."
