"My son, elementary school level, has been doing the online academy for a year and really enjoys it. The small group classes were the right level of providing a safe and non-threatening space to compete and learn. Through Magnus we've learned of local tournaments and opportunities to grow his chess interest. Having access to the Magnus teachers during the National tournament, and a team room really helped the kids feel comfortable and supported. There are a lot of different offerings through Magnus Chess, ranging from online social tournaments, larger group teaching/lectures, to small group and dedicated tournament preps. You're likely to find the mix of opportunities that best fits. It has been a nice community to be a part of for our child."
