"My son was moved from Whetstone and reassigned to Mifflin due to Whetstones i.e.p placements being full. I wasn't told about Mifflins 'school uniform' requirement until I took him in to get his schedule set up, his sensory issues unfortunately clash with the required shirts and their only solution was to essentially place him in solitary if he didn't wear the required style of shirt. He lost his bus slips, and when he asked for new ones in the office so that he could ride the bus, he was told come back tomorrow. Every day, for a week, and still has never received new bus slips. When he told the office that I couldn't afford to take him to and from school on a constant basis, so he really needed the bus passes, the response they gave to him was "Well it'll be your grades that suffer if you can't get to school." and then still refused to write out a simple bus pass for him. Another student tried to steal his ipod, and the only reason he managed to get the teacher to make the other kid give it back is because my son could list all the songs on it. I bought him a coat as the weather is cooling and another student yanked the inner lining out(as it seperates), and when my son tried to let a teacher know what had happened in hopes of getting it returned, the teachers response was "No one likes a snitch." I didn't pay for a coat just so some strangers inconsiderate heathen could cannibalize it on school property. I am transferring my son out to attend a different school because for Mifflin to allow theft by students and for their own staff to so dismissive is ridiculous."
"My son attended high school . The office staff didn't always seem to be aware of each others job responsibilities. We didn't have any problems with the teachers, who where helpful, but not great. My son had an overall positive experience."
