"This is not your typical looking Hampton Inn. Hilton tried to keep the area you check in as close as they can to its historic root. Beautiful check in & breakfast area. Service was OK, I did appreciate ability to check out late, unfortunately night before car was stuck in parking and waited for ever for front desk to show up with salt, luckily two guests helped me get car out after seeing me take a fall. Room I had was nice and was inside, hotel has rooms with outside access, not sure I would like that during the winter. Going to breakfast bundle up, no path to walk inside and avoid the extreme cold. Overall place is truly neat and would visit it in the spring or summer to check it out better."

"Beautiful hotel. We paid extra for the balcony room but when we arrived the humid weather had the door stuck. Manager reimbursed me the money I had paid for the upgrade! Nice! Breakfast was delicious and ambience very relaxing. We will definitely stay here again."

"So, true story here. I typed in the address that I wanted to go to in Virginia, and for some reason this hotel populated instead and I ended up about 45 minutes away from where I had planned on going. What a great mistake! This place was beautiful. Beautiful. It is a historic building and it hasn't even older historic building behind it. As you can see in the pictures. The staff was very friendly and these rooms were super modern. They have some historic rooms that you can reserve in the main house, but they were full when I got there. The area, but the building makes it worth the stay."

"The location is great. We have stayed here several times over the last few months. The hotel is clean but it is in need of a refresh. The beds are getting old and worn and many of the rooms are musty smelling with a hint of sweaty socks. It is not a 4.5 star hotel at this time, but will be in the future once they put some money into refurbishing the rooms and common areas."

"We had a great stay at this hotel! It's walking distance to downtown but also in a beautiful, quiet and serene location. The pool and hot tub were great. The hotel staff were wonderful - helpful, kind and attentive. Pet friendly too which was necessary for us! Clean and comfortable rooms. Will stay again!"
