Super 8 by Wyndham Lexington VA

"The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I would have to rank the room as below average by standards of other Super 8 motels I have stayed at. My big problem with my room was the odor. It was non-smoking but had that burned-in lingering background smell of a room that had once been a smoking room but was never thoroughly cleaned out. I think the odor came from the old carpet on the floor. They need to pull up the carpet and put down a hard-surface floor. Those don't retain odors and you can always tell that they are clean. Also, my room (101) didn't have a bedside lamp. That was a minor inconvenience."

"BED BUGS! STAY AWAY!!! Please do NOT stay here. We booked this hotel for 4 nights when working in the area, it was a typical budget hotel upon first look. We’re we wrong. After staying the first night, my husband and I were at work and he had tons of bites on him. Looked like chiggers (we work outside) returned back to the hotel that evening & when we laid down, I noticed I had a few bites on me that weren’t there before. He took a peak at them then tore everything off the bed and around the bed looking. There were a bunch of bed bugs all comfy cozy hanging out waiting to bite us again. We immediately grabbed our belongings; went to the desk and spoke with them. The women at night was kind, she was grossed out herself and said she would tell the owner in the AM & get our money refunded. Well here we are 3 1/2 weeks later & getting the run around from staff when they decided to answer the phone. Also just in case that wasn’t bad enough, there was a couple of young adults living IN YHE DUMPSTER AREA. Saw them selling drugs in the parking lot and There was a lot of screaming from the man and crying from the women. By the time the cops did arrive the couple wasn’t there as they went next door to whatever business it was. STAY AWAY PLEASE. Don’t listen to the positive reviews, people living in the hotel, bed bugs, drugs everywhere and not safe. People are getting paid to leave a good review"

"I have always thought that the hotels in Lexington were over priced for their value. The Super 8 is very convenient to the Virginia Horse Center and is priced at least more realistically. The staff is friendly and does a good job."

"Stayed here while heading to NC....We entered the lobby the woman behind the desk was very friendly. Our room was on the second floor and it was a really nice room. The beds were comfy you had coffee maker refrig microwave a safe ...after reading these reviews they definitely fixed the place up We would definitely stay here again"

"nice front desk staff and excellent location off of interstate 64 at Lexington Virginia. But our particular Room 101 had a very worn-out mattress, a stopped up bathtub, fast leaky faucet in the bathroom, very worn carpet probably 20 years old or more, door to the bathroom stuck shut and took force to open. In the end not the best value. Have stayed at other super 8/wyndham properties with better amenities for the price"
