"They may seem decent to deal with at first, but once you've signed for a new policy, the professionalism completely disappears. Calls and emails to our agent were ignored for weeks on end. Toward the end of our coverage period we notified them that we would not be renewing through Thompson-Brooks, but they renewed our policy anyway and repeatedly lied about canceling it."
"Terrible experience. We only dealt with Thompson-Brooks for employee health insurance for a year before the unprofessionalism of their agent had us running to another agency. And then despite notifying them well before the end of coverage that we would not be renewing, they never canceled the policy, repeatedly lying about doing so despite the fact that we continue to receive bills for a whole new year."
"Run away! Unless you enjoy being repeatedly ignored and lied to, avoid Thompson-Brooks Insurance at all costs. Our organization previously provided employee health insurance through Optima and their agent, Brandon Loving, who was so unresponsive and unreliable when it came to adding new or removing former employees from the policy, that we went with another insurance agency when it came time for renewal. However, despite notifying Thompson-Brooks well before the end of our coverage period that we would not being renewing, we continued to receive bills from Optima for renewed coverage. When we reached out to Thompson-Brooks' Office Manager, Cindy Atkinson, she assured us that the policy had been cancelled as requested. However, we were later informed directly by Optima that the policy was never canceled and remains in effect. Stay away from these liars!"
