"12 years ago yesterday - 1/18/2012 - Greg and I went on our first date at Metro. A man named Dexter was our waiter. On 12/4/2014 Greg and I got married. We went to Metro a few months later to celebrate, Dexter was our waiter and did a nice plate to help us celebrate. Flash-forward to 1/19/2024, Greg and I are celebrating 12 years together. Dexter is the maître d at The Liberty Trust. Our new anniversary restaurant (Metro closed). This team has created so many special memories for me and my family. They’ll certainly do the same for you. "My adult children and I had our Christmas dinner here. The place is gorgeous. Service is very friendly. Food was beautiful and delicious. I would come back and sit at the bar for drinks and small plates. But I wasn't prepared to eat a full meal around a coffee table. I didn't like that at all. Because of the placement of the furniture and noise level, I couldn't really catch up with the two of them. That's my purpose for bribing my busy kids with a spendy, fancy meal. I moved my chair closer which helped but Liberty Trust is not inexpensive and because of the seating situation I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to....This review is not to dissuade anyone from going, just to know what to expect. If you haven't seen your family or friends in a while, this is not the place I would recommend."

"This was a unique experience. We got to sit in the old bank vault! The wine dispenser is exclusive to this venue, at least in this area that I know off. The Apple and Rutabaga Soup was surprisingly delicious! I'm not normally a big fan of Caesar Salad but this one had a nice zing to it. My Old Fashioned was top notch. I tried a Manhattan for the first time and was very pleased. I cannot say enough about the food, service and atmosphere. Everything was amazing!!"

"We had a great experience on Saturday 6/24. My wife and I celebrated our 34th anniversary at the Vault and it was a delightful experience. The room is spectacular as it retains all the original high ceilings, columns, marble, counters and fortified vault. A wonderful restoration which preserved the character of the Liberty Trust bank foyer. The place has a nice, sophisticated but still casual vibe. It is elegant but not intimidating. Upon arrival we were offered complimentary champagne and shown to our table. There is an interesting mix of seating arrangements (bar, high tables, small intimate settings for various size parties and the vault itself) Service was spectacular as attentive, friendly, not obsequious but professional. We shared a wonderful pescatarian charcuterie plate, with Nuri sardines served in their tin box amongst smoked salmon, herrings and accoutrements. Delicious and excellent quality. We also had a roasted duck with plum sauces on a rice and microherbs bed; (maybe a little too much herbs as they are quite pungy); still, the duck was perfectly cooked, it was moist and not greasy. In a mushu dish inspiration, some green onions and ginger pancakes were served along. I am still not sure if the red filaments gracing them were safran or not, but it was spectacular and very original. We did finish with a classic bread pudding. I am not really into cocktails but I know it is a signature of the bar. The wine list is equally impressive, still reasonably priced. I enjoyed a glass of Grenache wine (Department 66 from France,- Languedoc Roussillon) which is a rare find. We will not wait our next anniversary to be back for sure."
