"My friends and I tried it today for the first time. We were seated immediately but had to wait about 1 hour for our food. We all ordered brunch type meals. My pancakes were good except the parts that weren't stiff. My other friend didn't eat her pancakes at all for the same reason. Eggs were runny and bacon was too rock hard for me(I asked for soft, and the waitress did apologize about that later). Our hot teas/hot chocolate were lukewarm at best(and I did mention that). Our waitress however, was nice and kept apologizing for the wait and the service and acknowledged it was not acceptable and that there were problems in the kitchen (she didn't elaborate and i didn't ask) said she would call the owner. Nothing came of it. I didn't drink my tea, nor eat eggs or bacon and my friend didn't eat her pancakes but it was still on the bill. We tried it (paid our bills in full each) but none of us would go back or recommend it. We all left still hungry.....the reviews seemed good but maybe we just went on a really bad day. On a good note it's a nice sized spot with delicious orange juice."

"This is such a great spot! Have only been for breakfast but can’t wait to try out other times. I think places that have good crunch ice and sweet tea know what’s up! Big pancakes and lots of great options. Service was so great and it was packed out! Don’t skip out on McLeans!"

"I ate at McLean today and I must admit I had a great time. The food was really on point, I took an associate out for lunch and we had a great time. The food was delicious I give my compliments to the chef "Sam" he is definitely a 5 star gentleman. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was very pleasant. They gave me so much food that had enough for dinner. I highly recommend that you eat the home fries and the blueberry pancakes."

"Recently attended a retirement party that was catered and held here. I've eaten her before, quite a while as well. The food is always good. This time they had 2 kinds of BBQ, where the owner makes at home and brings in, both types were amazing. The cornbread heaven melt in your mouth delicious. They have a twist on the backed beans as well, with peppers in it, which at 1st I didn't think I would like, but I ended up getting 3 servings of them, the last time putting over my cornbread. Mmmm. Great southern cooking with a bit of soul. Can't go wrong here! Food and Service are top knotch!"
