"My wife and I had lunch at Kismet this past weekend. The restaurant is modern and very comfortable. We started off with a bourbon cocktail called Temple of Salt that is one of my favorite beverages in Richmond. We ordered several appetizers; a lamb dish and cauliflower dish. Both were superb.. wonderful spices and flavors with a touch of heat. We followed that with Butter Chicken and Zucchini Kofta. The flavors and spices are what set this restaurant apart.. wonderfully displayed. This restaurant is a gem in Richmond."

"Prepare yourself for a journey through modern Indian cuisine. So many flavors and textures that were unexpected. Dishes that were both indescribable and indescribably good at the same time. Impeccable service. Fantastic Cabernet by the glass. Tour the entire appetizer menu. Order the lamb chops (medium of course). The restaurant makes you feel like you must be celebrating an anniversary. Prepare your appetite and your wallet (it’s worth every penny for every flavor). Take a chance when the waiter recommends something that sounds weird. You’ll love it."

"Delightful dinner at Kismet tonight. Our party enjoyed delicious salt & pepper gimlets from the cocktail menu, followed by appetizers that were as beautiful as they were scrumptious. For entrees we enjoyed lamb chops, butter chicken and shrimp curry. All were absolutely amazing. We tried regular and goat cheese naan, which was excellent (especially dipped in the butter chicken and shrimp curry sauces). Service was impeccable. The entire night was terrific and we're already planning our next visit."

"After reading multiple articles about how this is the next big thing and served mind blowing food, I was skeptical but my expectations were high. All expectations were blown out of the water. The atmosphere, service, food, everything was top notch. Even the silverware and plates were thoughtfully chosen, weird but I'm always intrigued by those choices. We had the butter chicken and the zucchini kofta, I highly recommend both and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Save room for desert, too, the kulfi and payasam were incredible. Also the laccha parantha was amazing. As for the service, everyone was kind and courteous, the manager came by and asked how things were and explained how the kofta was made by hand. The prices might be high but every single part of the experience is elevated to match, you won't be disappointed!"

"Amazing service. For my group to not have a reservation we were still accommodated at the bar. It was well worth it. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and did not have to be prompted to suggest his favorites as well as most popular dishes. He was spot on with everything he recommended. The restroom was clean and well stocked. Great place for a date night, girls night, business lunch, or just because. No matter the occasion the food is phenomenal."
