Chris's Coffee & Custard is a one-of-a-kind cafe and store located at 1824 9th Street Southeast in Roanoke, Virginia. We specialize in serving delicious coffee, creamy custard, and tasty food items while also providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals of all abilities, with a focus on our special needs community. Our goal is to empower and enhance the lives of these individuals, promoting their independence and making a positive impact in their lives.
Founded by Beth and Alan Woodrum, parents of a son with Down Syndrome, Chris's Coffee & Custard aims to bridge the gap between the community and individuals with disabilities, helping them integrate into the workplace and everyday life. Our menu features vanilla and chocolate custard made from original recipes, as well as locally roasted coffee specially blended for us. From homemade waffle cones to milkshakes and our signature Gob dessert, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Whether you stop by for breakfast, lunch, or an evening treat, you can indulge in our homemade chicken salad, baked goods, sandwiches, and more. "If you only want the best then you have come to the right place! Their frozen custard is what separates them from the rest. The service is amazing. The place is clean and the atmosphere is great! If they have a line it is well worth the wait! And their new food truck can be liked and followed on Facebook. It does not, and let me repeat, does not get any better than Chris' Custard!"
