"Not good here today. The counter person is Nicole and she made my large $8 chocolate shake into a watery milk and she forgot the whipped cream.....she corrected it and I said Thank you 4 times to her.... she never said a word. I selected print on the receipt and she balled it up and threw it away. Not coming here again..... very disappointed. If the shake was $2.... I could understand it better. If you are mad.. stay home....if you hate your job... please quit. McDonalds is hiring at $18.75 an hour."

"This place is a disgrace to downtown Roanoke. Once a reliable and much-loved gathering space with good coffee and food, it has willingly become nothing more than a homeless shelter. Homeless people occupy the only restroom for prolonged periods of time while paying customers have no option when they need to use the facilities. The homeless blare music throughout the store on their phones and approach customers while they’re ordering to ask if they will buy them things. The staff just watches indifferently as this unfolds nonstop. It is truly remarkable the state of this establishment these days and is unfortunate it’s so close to Hotel Roanoke. What a shame that the visitors to our city end up walking into this when they’re looking for a cup of coffee. This is one business I will never go back to."

"First time trying coffee at this location. Only one employee working, and he did a great job handling all the customers! My coffee hit the spot :)"

"A nice little shop just off the heart of downtown. The staff is great and serve quickly. The coffee is pretty good as well. However, the food is great. I have never had anything here I did not love. It is also a great place to break out your laptop and get some work done if the need should arise."

"The food is always great and the service is quick with a nice staff. Bulk coffee is nice to have especially with the option of bagging it yourself or snag pre-bagged for ease. The code is always amazing which is why Mill Mountain Cafe is The ONLY place for coffee in Roanoke. Ample seating indoors and out with a ramp (not steep at all with a very gradual grade) which makes getting to the upper level simple with stroller, wheelchair, unsteady person, etc. The really nice touch is how the seating is arranged so that there are semi-private areas which helps keep the noise level down."
