Crack O' Dawn

"We love Crack o Dawn! Elizabeth first caught our attention with her delicious and various allergen-free pastries at the farmers market. Could not be more excited that she has a brick-and-mortar spot where we can find her goodies all week long. Elizabeth and her staff are all lovely. They are highly knowledgeable about the different allergens in their foods and are happy to work with you if you do have any allergies."

"Pleasantly surprised to find this place on our annual trip to the area. We’ve been gluten free for over 10 years and sometimes struggle to find a truly safe gf breakfast/brunch. We were so impressed by the staff and their dedication to a 100% gluten free kitchen, that we had to come back the next day for the biscuits and gravy special! The food is delicious, with a great variety of options for breakfast and lunch. We ended up taking home a loaf of brioche, several donuts, a large container of pimento cheese, and full bellies. If you’ve been gluten free for long you know some of the ingredients are quite expensive, but we found the prices more than reasonable for the quantity and quality of product. It is a smaller kitchen but this allows them to offer daily specials and the safety of knowing their establishment is completely gluten free. The staff and chefs were polite and personable- they easily cared for our allergies and dietary needs with a smile! They even came out to make sure we liked our food and answer any questions. We will definitely be back!"

"I’ve been a customer of Elizabeth’s before it was CrackO’ Dawn! Her food is delicious even if you aren’t Gluten Free! She personally can remember my food allergies and she’s really a force needed in the food community. I have not had a bad experience at Crack O’ Dawn! I cannot wait to see this business blossom and what else Crack O’ Dawn will offer! They just opened in October. She has dairy free and vegan options! Oh and her bread slices are bigger than gluten bread with no holes! That’s really all the marketing she needs! Full disclosure some photos are from previous orders!"

"Delicious food and cozy atmosphere. I love supporting local businesses over chain options. Normally, such places have stellar customer service. Sadly, Crack O' Dawn - in my experience on November 12, 2023 - is the exception to the rule. The gentleman (cashier/waiter) taking orders at the counter and bringing food to the table was curt and offered differential treatment depending on the customer. When our coffees came out, the cashier/waiter dropped the coffees off. We were left wondering where/how to get cream and sugar. Surprisingly, other customers got much better service: some got brought sugar/cream out to the table and apologies for delays on coffee. Similarly, we had to bus our own table. Other customers got their table cleaned and prepped by the cashier/waiter. Positive note: during my visit, it appeared there were only two employees (cashier/waiter and a cook). I was pleasantly surprised there was minimal wait at the counter to order and to receive food."

"Crack of Dawn is fantastic with a 100% Gluten Free kitchen. They can also accommodate dairy allergies as well. Elizabeth and her team have created a wonderful atmosphere. Even if you’re not gluten free, you should try it. All the food I’ve had has been fantastic!"
