We locals who don’t go South with the geese need this place to survive the winter, so it’s a pretty iconic spot to patron if you’re visiting the area. However you take your coffee: interesting flavors, artisanal blends, exotic terroirs, icy treats, or classic espresso drinks; The Perk has got something for just about everyone. There is something grounding (coffee pun?) about drinking it where it’s roasted, too. But even if coffee’s not your thing there’s plenty for you here. The staff are friendly and welcoming without exception, and the vibe is great for hanging out, reading, working, studying, board games, warming up from a chilly day at the harbor, or cooling off from a sunny day at the beach. "Harbor Perk is an absolute gem. They have some of the best coffee anywhere - and I currently live in San Francisco, the land of coffee fans. As locals know, they roast the coffee beans right there. The baristas very knowledgeable and friendly. If you love coffee, do not miss this place! Tip: Order a dry cappuccino, small cup. Not many coffee shops can make this correctly. "Who could've guessed that one of the best coffeeshops in the entire Rust Belt would be tucked away in Ashtabula?? Coffee selection here is really good. The staff are a riot, and they know how to make espresso drinks properly.
