"If I could give negative stars, I would. My mom passed in November and my sister and I were trying to use it to pay funeral expenses. It was denied, which was correct because the policy wasn't old enough. Then, we received a letter that the balance of what was left was sent to the 3rd party which denied it. I have called at least 5 times since that letter. Our funeral director has called. My sister has called. We have been getting the run around so much that I absolutely dread calling. 1. I have been told we have to wait for them to receive it, so they can return it. 2. They have put a stop payment and are waiting for the funds. 3. They have the funds, but it hasn't been processed etc. My sister called earlier this week to get a follow up and she was told the money is just sitting in an account. NOT DOING ANYTHING. Apparently, the person who sent it to the wrong place initially, has to be the one to send it to us. All they have to do is open our claim and send it. We had given our bank information more than once, which makes me wonder if our banking info is just floating around somewhere. And, we still have not received it. I have never dealt with a company that is so incompetent in my life. I STRONGLY urge anyone considering taking out a policy, don't. Don't put your family through it. Grieving is hard enough without having to chase down something that is owed to you by a company that is sitting on their hands to send it. They sound very sincere on the phone, but it seems nothing gets done once the call ends. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully, it will prevent this from happening to others."

"I'm getting unsolicited, super "official" advertisements. When I say official, I mean the manilla envelopes make me feel like I'm about to get served or I have jury duty, or some legal requirement is upon me. They'll send you a big packet, and if you ignore it, they send you another with a "Second request" on it. Do you want me to NEVER use AAA? Cuz that's how you do it. I will use any other life insurance before AAA due to the aggressive advertising"

"I'm very disappointed with AAA Life Insurance. My whole family has Life insurance with AAA, and had no issues. I had my life insurance for 10 + years with no issues, and according to AAA they haven't received my payment of $36 for 2 months? There was no issue on my side in regards to payment, and funds were available. I didn't get any calls or letters for the past 2 months advising of any issues. When I was going through my account back in October and that's when I noticed my account wasn't debited and I called AAA to check what was going on, and they advised my Life Insurance lapsed due to no payment. I expressed to them my disappoinment about no calls or letters being sent to me, they advised they sent letters. So they requested for me to send a request for re-instatement. I did that and sent it back 2 day notice with a confirmation of receipt and they received on November 9th with a time period of 2-3 weeks to review. 4 weeks have gone by with no response back so I called back on the 1st of week December, and was told that it's still under review and a letter will be sent out and was told to call back the following week to check status. I called back this week on 01/15 2 + months after they received my re-instatment letter, and was told they had sent a letter to me on 12/09 and my Request was Declined, due to medical history 4 years ago. I DIDN'T RECEIVE THE LETTER! And she said i can email you, and I asked the Rep, did you request a signature for the receipt of the letter, and she no clue. I paid 10 + years with no issues, and you close my account for a lousy $36 ? Why didn't anyone give me a call to confirm i've received the letter that was supposedly sent out? I'd think that you'll put your customers first to help out when needed, but after this , looks like you're only looking out for AAA and getting the Customers Money and that's it. I will not be using AAA Life Insurance going forward, and i'm looking elsewhere for my Auto Insurance as well."

"Don't buy life insurance from AAA if you are planning on making the process easy for your loved ones after your passing. I submitted a claim over a month ago for my mother who passed and I have been given the runaround for the last 2 weeks and told by multiple representatives that is on the claim examiners queue and will be reviewed by the end of each week. There are still expenses to pay with the passing but it just feels like aaa is arbitrarily delaying this to make it to the end of the year with minimal payouts, what a joke. This kind of follow up should NOT be necessary, especially for a policy that was over a decade long. Not to mention you have to follow up with the department to even find out if they received your claim since you don't receive any confirmation of that when you submit. And each time I call I get a different story about timelines for the process. I've heard 7 -14 business days, up to 30 business days to completion and 45-60 business days. This is not listed anywhere I can find on the website. I'd be fired from my company if I delivered this kind of an experience to our customers and clients."

"I'm 76 years old and this is absolutely the worst company I've ever had to deal with to try to get anything accomplished. In the first place I asked that this policy be made effective the middle of the month because I am no longer able to write checks and need the bank to issue them which takes about 10 days. So of course they issued it effective the third day of the month and try as I might I could not get them to change that. Currently the beneficiary I had listed is no longer available and has no heirs. I have now tried three times to get the beneficiary at changed and they just will not do it because they say they can't verify my signature yes I understand that that's what I told them from the get-go I cannot right my arthritis is too bad sometimes all I can do is make a straight line I guess I'm going to have to get an attorney to get this changed I have never seen such rigmaro in my whole life."
