"Therapist told me I was paying in full every visit...6 months later received a bill... first bill received and its 90 days over due... smh. Receptionist couldn't explain the bill. I never paid it or received further bills. Therapist also gave me a book to read on second page it encouraged you to act on suicide,that was my last visit."
"It has been terrible trying to schedule anything. Very rude interactions with the office staff and just told to wait while they continue to verify insurance. Then you get into the loop of them blaming the insurance and the insurance blaming them. I'm tired of being told to just wait, any semblance of transparency would vastly improve the rating that most people are giving them. Called today after about a month of waiting, and the first person I spoke with indicated that they had no record of me in their system despite the fact that I had filled out all the necessary paperwork. Then the administrative staff starts to get upset that I was getting upset. Ironic about the emotional contagion from a mental health facility"
"The billing department here is a complete joke! The staff is very unprofessional and lack empathy and training. You feel like you are bothering them when trying to get billing information or even a return call. The only person there with a calming presence is the front desk assistant FATIMA and I feel bad for her. I don’t normally write reviews because everyone can have a bad day but throw the billing department away and some of the office staff. Where is the compassion in this office. I should have believed this review and all of the others. Do yourself a favor and just don’t enlist their services!!!!!"
"Stay away. Poor, unprofessional service from the beginning. I wouldn’t recommend. Here’s why. I had to call several times to follow up regarding scheduling. Then when I did schedule I specifically asked if I had a copay/deductible. I was told no I did not. Shocked, I asked again and the scheduler said it shows here (presumably a computer) that I do not have any. So I scheduled. When I arrived for my first appointment no copay or deductible was mentioned. Then when I arrived for my second appointment I was told that I had to pay toward a deductible. The only explanation I received was that no one verified my insurance. As they slid me a bill for my first appointment I asked am I responsible for this bill given that I was misinformed by a staff member and they said yes. I paid and left. But this is bad business, it is deceptive and shady. Who’s to say that wasn’t intentional just to get me in. I would not recommend doing business with them. The therapist was standing right there. How can I receive therapy which involves recognition and ownership of ones issues, responsibility, accountability and correction from a therapist or therapy group that doesn’t do the same with their business practices. Being a realtor, if I misinformed a client and it cost them money, they’d be asking for some of my commission. So I hold myself to a high standard, this business clearly does not. Stay away."
"I just recently started taking my child to this group. I looked at the reviews prior to scheduling, but figured I would give it a shot even with a 2.6 Google review, some times people tend to just complain. After 2 visits I can certainly see it's not just people complaining. Sadly, it's not the provider; Patrick Curley, that I see as the issue. He is warm, inviting and shows genuine concern/compassion for his patients. He seems very knowledgeable in treatment plans as well. I never want to go to an office and have to do my own benefits research. As a manger of a large physician group I would never want my patients to have to worry about the financial side of their care, because my job is to ensure their HEALTH is of the utmost importance first! I spoke to Kenya, "Operations Manager" who was extremely rude and dismissive when I advised her a second time that they had overcharged me. They first conversation was after my child's first visit in which I knew they were charging me incorrectly, but I decided to verify with my insurance just to be 100% sure. Sure enough I was over charged by $60 according to her verification, she advised that she would use the remaining balance towards subsequent visits, fine. His second visit his father took him, no mention of a fee and left. After looking at my bank statement and referring back to Kenya and mines first conversation they had now over charged me another $50, that's a total of $110. in our first conversation I told her that the copay was $50 and she stated I was incorrect it was only $20, fine. When I called the second time to have the issue corrected again she got increasingly nasty, cut me off in conversation, and sighed heavily as if I was ruining her day. Kenya then tells me I was correct in our first conversation and my copay was $50 so she only owed me $52. Regardless my bank account is again over charged and over drafted due to Kenya's and her staffs financial negligence. All that to say this, it is unfortunate that a providers office loses patients at the cost of inefficient and RUDE front desk staff and management. The medical profession is supposed to be a place where we help people and try to cause as less stress as possible during an individuals already stressful life due to sickness. Kenya needs training in customer service and compassion, although this is something that is typically a natural trait and not trained. She may also just need a new profession and a lesson in management etiquette. I can only assume that she has no financial struggles since $110, seemed to be such a minute issue for her. Unfortunately for me, it means a difference in feeding my family, or putting gas in my vehicle to get to work. My child needs therapy and I will by any means take care of him first, so leaving a good provider because of her inefficient management is not an option. Just beware to watch your account, don't let them add your credit card to the account to freely charge at their will , and verify your own benefits through your insurance. Good practice doesn't force individuals to pay towards their deductible prior to billing the claim, it's somewhat fraudulent and unfair practice for patients. Deductibles get billed after the insurance claim processes and never before, this is something medical facilities started doing when "affordable care" came about because deductibles are so high leaving people destitute from medical bills from high deductibles. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!"
