"I am appalled by the disrespect of not only the staff member that handled my transaction, but the manager who then did nothing to resolve the situation. By situation I mean this: I understand, the manager couldn’t issue a refund because the store was closed and registers were broken down, but to not apologize to the customer, have their employee roll their eyes and say “they DID not overcharge me” (with an attitude), and the lack of managerial efforts that should have been made... I am infuriated. When you have a customer who has enjoyed shopping at express for years, has a credit card with the company, and just spent over $100 in this store, I deserve respect. I have worked in customer service for YEARS! I have never seen something handled with such disregard. I didn’t stay in the store past closing time. I was respectful of the fact that they closed at 9pm and made sure to be done so those working could end their work day. I hope the manager can learn better to handle situations that are not the customers fault. Showing empathy goes a long ways. I would not have been so angry at this situation had I simply gotten an apology verses an attitude."
