"Great local store that puts on wonderful community events. Even though this is a beer and wine shop, they are very family friendly. Kids events are held in the breezeway outside the shop. Also there’s more than just beer and wine- they have a great selection of local snacks and offer fresh flowers on the weekends! "THE DEPARTMENT OF BEER AND WINE IS A MUST VISIT SHOP IF YOU ARE IN ALEXANDRIA. We love visiting on a Saturday and tasting the newest selections of beers. When we find one we like, its placed in a Crowler (32 ounce can / growler) for the trip home. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.
