"Waited way to long at self check out. Wait 5 + self checkout with the machine locked up. But no employees were stationed so no one could help. Only one cashier was open and to busy to help. Lots and lots of other options in the area so it will be easy to avoid this location in the future."

"Store is not handicap friendly. They are always out of prepared food like subs and have limited choices. They lock doors but no sign outside so you park and then can’t get in. The handicap automatic carts are all at locked door. When app is broken or you cannot access due to phone even manager will not give price advertised for digital coupons even if you prove you are a member. They make it hard to be their customer. GO TO GIANT OR ALDI or WALMART NEARBY!"

"By far the worst customer service to black customers. The manager (not sure of the spelling of her name "Sartgy") possibly an east Indian woman feels it's appropriate to question and lecture black customer on a simple return. I politely let her know in the 11 years of shopping at this Safeway I've never returned any items with the exception of this one occasion. The other white male employees one named (Alex) they work primarily at night, will give black customers unfriendly stares and follow customers around gives you a feeling of distrust. I'm not surprised giving the leadership of management. Black customers spend your hard earned money elsewhere do not shop at this location or any Safeways at all!!"

"I usually like getting groceries here, I go here for my prescriptions but I went last night around 10pm after work and I was using the self checkout, the worker (who was an older man) there mumbled something to me when I walked by, I didn’t hear him so I just kept walking to leave and when I get to the store doors near the pharmacy, they didn’t open and I hear the guy shouting at me from across the store, so everyone could hear, that the doors were locked. There was no sign on the door saying so and so I left out the other set of doors on the other side of the store, when I walked past the self checkout / the worker that shouted at me let out this exasperated sigh. It was really embarrassing. I’m really hesitant to go in here now."

"Safeway is usually my favorite place to grocery shop but the Kingstowne location is unacceptable!!! I got the 4 packs for 19.99 on 9/18/23 thawed the two packs of steak to cook on 9/20/23 and omg I had maggots in or some type of parasite I called Safeway and offer to send a video and the manager ask me to bring it in. I eventually took it up there and showed them the on duty manager shajia was like wow this is disgusting and how everything was handled was terrible. I can go on and on! I will be call corporate or District area manager. I literally was vomiting everywhere when I saw that."
