Laurel Park & Laurelton Court

"The management here leaves much to be desired, to put it in polite terms; which is strange because SM has a good reputation, just not here. Icing on the cake today after 18 months: I called the office around 10 am to have a new nectar mattress (not an ad, giving reference for size of package it’s not a massive 80”x75” box it comes compressed and rolled like an ikea or Home Depot mattress) and they said they could accept it. (I’ve been in PT for back pain for weeks now; mind you I work 2 jobs 6 days 60 hours). Turns out they had a policy that they don’t accept mattresses; the new guy didn’t know, and didn’t ask his coworker, and didn’t call his supervisor to check before saying yes. I would have paid 100$ cash for someone to be at my house I am in so much pain I can’t take another night like this. This is just on top of other crazy policies they have that costed me hundreds of dollars. The one before that was my car got hit in the parking lot, they have no cameras here - I had a rental, their policy is to get a temporary pass every 3 days or park on the street where cars get hit. Long story short I work every day for their entire office hours and they wouldn’t give me a stack of temps, knowing this, the rental got toed after the temporary lapsed on a weekend when they were closed (something like that), the tow truck damaged the rental. Praise The Lord I had the money back then to just pay that. I look forward to moving. None of these policies make sense. I live alone. Work 2 jobs 60 hours a week 6 days a week. They know this. These policies make no sense and/or the staff has low experience and it’s hit burned a hole in my wallet. I look forward to moving."

"Malcolm who apparently is the "manager" of these apartments has no clue about what is shown on their website and what is available. When you ask him questions, he gets angry. When I turned up for a tour, his ego was on high gear and he refused to acknowledge me. Kick the guy out if you want good customer service. There was a very nice lady who is half Philipino and Egyptian, who was AWESOME - great customer service. She offered to look at other options when they became available and get back to me. Sadly if Malcolm remains it is a huge turn off!"

"It was nice staying in Laurelton court with my dad. There's barely any rodents, not one time I found mice, and no roaches. I also enjoyed going to the pool. The only problem is there's a old man that lives underneath us, that carelessly blasts his TV/music. The neighbors upstairs also used to make a lot of noise. But one of the fellow residents up there moved out. And ever since, it's been so much quieter. But I still had to deal with the heavy walking above my head."

"Everything looks dirty in the building and laundry. I don't know when was the last time they did the pest control. Now, I have a problem with cockroaches everywhere. They are coming from the front door, air conditioner, carpet and I clean my house every day and we do not leave any trash or things open. I do not know when was the last cleaning of the building. I am disappointed. Because I lived here have 2 years and I never had any problem, instead of this I always recommended this place to my friends, but now I just have complaints. This place was constantly neat, but now looks abandoned."
